Q: What is the recipe archive?
A: It is a compilation of all of the recipes posted to the Cooking Traditional Foods website and blog since September, 2005. All of the recipes are already converted into being traditional foods-friendly, and are labeled for gluten and casein content to assist those with allergies.
Q: How many recipes does it contain?
A: It contains over 485 recipes as of March 22, 2008. Additionally, at least five recipes are added every week by the administrators. Users are also welcome to post their own recipes within the archive, discuss or ask questions about the recipes, and share their own tips.
Q: How much does it cost to view?
A: Membership to the archive can be purchased through Paypal. It is $18 for 6 months or $30 for 1 year. You can also get a 52, 26 or 13-week subscription in combination with the Menu Mailer.
Subscriptions can be purchased here for registered board members to gain immediate access. You can also
subscribe here, but these subscriptions are processed manually so there will be a delay.
Subscriptions are non-refundable. If you'd like to mail a check, please e-mail or PM me for details.
Q: Are they the same recipes from the Weekly Menu Mailer?
A: No. None of the main dish recipes in the archive are from the mailer, and none of the main dish archive recipes are on the mailer. To date, only three recipes from the archive have been used on the mailer, and they were all side dishes.
Q: How do I join?
A: You can join by clicking on the 'Subscriptions' link in the navigation bar at the top of the page, or by
following this link. Please note that signing up using the 'Subscriptions' link above gives you immediate access to the archive, whereas going through the link, your account will have to be set up manually.
Q: Are the subscriptions recurring?
A: The subscriptions marked 'Auto-Renew" will automatically bill your Paypal account at the end of your current subscription to conveniently provide you with continual access to the archive. Please note that subscriptions are auto-renewing and non-refundable. It is your responsibility to cancel your subscription. When you cancel your subscription, you will still have access to the archive through the last day for which you have paid.
Q: How do I cancel an auto-renew subscription?
A: Auto-renews can be canceled through your user control panel, found in the navigation bar at the top of the page, by clicking the 'unsubscribe' link in the Paypal confirmation receipt, at the Paypal website, or by contacting an administrator at
subscriptions@cookingtf.com.
Q: What are the other benefits to being subscribed?
A: With a subscription, you are five total lines of signature text, the option to upload an avatar and one picture for your signature, smilies allowed in the signature, 2 total images allowed in your signature, and 50 Pms allowed.
Q: Is the archive friendly for those with food allergies?
A: Yes! All recipes are labeled for gluten and casein content, and the administrator's family is on a gluten and casein free diet. A mixture of allergen-containing and allergen-free recipes will continually be posted to fit all palates and needs.
