Default FAQ for the Menu Mailer

Q: How often is the menu mailer posted?
A: The menu mailer is posted every week to the forum before Thursday at noon, EST in the US and AEST in Australia. You will receive an e-mail message to alert you that it is available.

Q: How long can I view the mailer?
A: You can view the mailers, back issues and special issues that you have purchased as long as you remain a member of the forum. When your subscription ends or you cancel your auto-renew, you do not loose access to the issues you have purchased.

Q: Are they the same recipes from the Recipe Archive?
A: No. None of the recipes in the archive are from the mailer, and none of the archive recipes are on the mailer.

Q: What is the difference between the Australian and American Mailers?
A: The Australian menu mailer is an issue of the American menu mailer that has been converted to be appropriate for Australia's season and ingredient availability. A native Australian very experienced in Traditional Foods converts and edits the menu for KerryAnn to ensure accuracy in all areas.

Q: How much does the Menu Mailer cost?
A: It is $6 for 4 weeks, $16 for 13 weeks, $30 for 26 weeks, and $52 for 52 weeks. Subscriptions are non-refundable. You may, however, transfer your subscription to another person/e-mail address at your request by e-mailing subscriptions@cookingTF.com.

Q: Are there additional benefits to subscribing to the menu mailer?
A: Yes. You may upload your own avatar and one picture for your signature, have a 5-line signature with up to two images, can include smilies in your signature, and have a limit of 50 PMs.

Q: How often do you repeat recipes? Repeat weeks?
A: Recipes are repeated no more often than once every thirteen weeks, however we rarely repeat recipes. Weeks are never repeated. All recipes are seasonal for the US or AU and focus on in-season produce.

Q: Can I purchase back issues?
A: Yes. Australian back issues are here, and US back issues are here. Purchases are non-refundable.

Q: Can I view the names of the recipes on each mailer?
A: Yes, our Recipe Index for the US contains all of the recipe names arranged alphabetically and by category in each published issue of Volume 1. The Australian Recipe Index will be available shortly.

Q: Can I cancel my renewal?
A: Yes, you may cancel your auto-renewal by using the link provided in your Paypal receipt or by visiting here. You may also transfer your subscription into another person’s name if you wish. If you have difficulty canceling your subscription through the link above, please e-mail us at subscriptions@cookingtf.com.

Q: What happens when my subscription expires?
A: Subscriptions are automatically renewed through Paypal until you decide to cancel. To cancel the auto-renewal of your subscription, click the link on your Paypal receipt or visit our cancellation page here.

Q: Can I give a gift subscription?
A: Yes. E-mail us at subscriptions@cookingTF.com and we will happily arrange a gift subscription.

Q: Can someone with food allergies use the menu mailer?
A: Yes! The menu author herself is gluten and casein free, and is a very experienced cook and baker. All of the recipes are naturally gluten and casein free, or contains specific directions for making the dish without them. In addition, each issue contains recommended brand names that are gluten and casein free. Grains and proteins are also rotated on a minimum of three days. Each vegetable is used no more than twice a week, with the possible exception of onions, garlic, carrots and celery.

The menu mailer is perfect for someone who is new to gluten and casein free cooking, since the recipes are already converted and the shopping list, including brand-names, is already done for you.

Q: Can I purchase more than one subscription at a time?
A: Yes. E-mail us at subscriptions@cookingTF.com and we will arrange for a multiple-subscription or gift subscription purchase.

Q: Are other issues available?
A: Yes. View our special issues here for the US. The AU special issues will be available soon.

Q: How often does CTF send out e-mails?
A: When you subscribe to the menu mailer, you will receive an e-mail once a week or once every other week (depending on your subscription) to let you know when your new issues are ready for pick-up, and you will receive e-mails announcing sales or new products available, which will be no more than twice a month.

Q: Do you sell your mailing list?
A: No, we will never sell or reveal your e-mail address to a third party. We hate spam as much as you do. Our full privacy policy is viewable here.

I don't know if this is the right place to post this question, but I am wondering how frugal the menu mailer meals end up being. It seems that if you are not repeating ingredients and using many different ingredients it would cost more, but you also said you try to use in season veg, etc. We are on a pretty tight budget, but I am very inept at planing ahead so some of the TF things and the cheaper things that take more time I tend not to do because I can't think that far ahead. I was hoping it might help me save some $$ as well as think ahead a little. Thanks!

Trish, I've yet to have anyone tell me their grocery bill went up. In fact, if you check the testimonials, you'll see a lot of people say that their bill went down!

How many people does the menu mailer feed? I have seven children, five who are eating. Would the menu mailer grocery list/recipes accomodate my family?
