Steps:
- On a small plate, mix together ¼ cup (50 G) sugar and the orange zest with a fork until well distributed.
- Rub the rims of 4 martini glasses with the orange wedge and dip into the sugar mixture to coat. Set aside.
- Add the ice, orange juice, vodka, remaining ¼ cup (50 G) sugar, the milk, and vanilla to a blender and blend until smooth.
- Divide the orange julius between the martini glasses, garnish each with an orange wheel, and serve.

- Add ice cubes (depending on the size of your ice cubes, you may want more or less. I suggest starting with 8-10). Blend again until ice cubes are crushed and the drink is smooth and creamy. Serve immediately.

ARCADE ORANGE DELIGHT (JULIUS VARIATION)
On many fondly remembered trips to a local arcade that just happened to have a soda shop in it, my grandfather and I enjoyed their version of the mall staple created by Julius Freed. The arcade has gone the way of the Dodo (as nearly all arcades have), but this recipe was one of the few shared with me upon the closing of my "hangout."
