SLOW COOKER AUTUMN DELIGHT
The basic recipe was handed down from a friend. I added the sliced onion and substituted the 3 cans of cream of mushroom soup with 1 can of cream of mushroom soup with garlic and 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup original. I also added the egg noodles which serves the gravy texture wonderfully.

Steps:
- Whisk cream of mushroom soup, water, and onion soup mix in a slow cooker until thoroughly combined.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat; cook and stir onion in the hot oil until browned, about 20 minutes. Transfer onion to a bowl, leaving oil in skillet.
- Brown cube steaks in the hot skillet, about 5 minutes per side. Place cube steaks into slow cooker and top with onions. Cook on Low until cube steaks are tender, 5 to 6 hours.
- Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook egg noodles in the boiling water, stirring occasionally, until cooked through but firm to the bite, about 5 minutes. Drain. Serve cube steaks and mushroom gravy over egg noodles.

CROCKPOT CUBE STEAK
This crockpot cube steak with gravy is my favorite easy slow cooker recipe. It takes very little prep, making it a perfect dinner for busy weeknights! With just a handful of ingredients, you'll be putting this on the dinner menu every week!

Steps:
- Combine the cans of cream of mushroom condensed soup with the Lipton Onion Soup Mix and ground black pepper (plus water if desired) in your crock pot. Mix until well combined.
- Layer the cube steaks over the 'gravy' mixture adding one at a time. Top each cube steak with some of the sliced onions as you add them, staggered in shingle-fashion, over the cream of mushroom base. Top with optional sliced mushrooms (white mushrooms or cremini) if desired.
- Set your crock pot to high and cook for 6 hours. Serve over rice, potatoes, or pasta.

SLOW COOKER CUBE STEAK WITH GRAVY
It is nice to get the cooking done early in the day while the kids are at school. Serve with mashed potatoes or noodles.

Steps:
- Heat oil in a skillet over med/high heat.
- Put flour, salt and pepper in a zip lock bag and mix well. Add the cube steaks one at a time, close bag, and shake to coat in flour.
- Add steaks to hot oil and brown on each side. Transfer steaks to the slow cooker.
- Add sliced onion rings and 2 cups of water to the crockpot as well.
- Cook on low setting for 8 hours.
- Mix together gravy mix, onion soup mix and the cream of mushroom soup with the last 1 cup of water. Add this to the slow cooker and mix gently so you do not tear up the steaks.
- Cook the cube steaks and gravy for 3 minutes longer. Serve over mashed potatoes or noodles.

Steps:
- Spray the inside of a 3-5 quart slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.
- Place the sliced onions in the slow cooker.
- Combine flour, garlic powder, onion powder and pepper in a large sealing plastic bag.
- Add steaks, a few at a time and shake until completely coated.
- Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the steaks, a few at a time, and cook until lightly browned on each side.
- Place the browned steaks on top of the onions in the slow cooker.
- Pour 2 cups water over all. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until meat is tender.
- In a bowl, whisk together the 3 gravy mixes with remaining 1 cup water. Add to slow cooker, cover and cook on low for 30 minutes longer.
