CLEMENTINE WINTER SPRITZER

Number Of Ingredients 8

3 clementines
15 mL (1 tbsp.) granulated sugar
30 mL (1 oz.) plain or flavoured vodka
125 mL (½ cup) white wine
125 mL (½ cup) San Pellegrino Clementina
4 dashes Angostura bitters
1 sprig fresh rosemary
2 or 3 ice cubes

Steps:

  • Cut one clementine into thin wedges. Wet the rim of a cocktail glass with a clementine wedge, then press rim in sugar. Using a citrus press, juice two clementines. Place ice cubes, 2 clementine wedges, clementine juice, vodka, white wine, San Pellegrino, and Angostura bitters in a glass. Stir well. Rub rosemary sprig between your hands to release the aroma and place in glass. Chef's secret: For a non-alcoholic version, replace vodka and wine by an equal amount of unflavoured sparkling water.

1/2 part agave nectar
Sugar garnish

Steps:

  • Add ingredients to an ice-filled shaker. Shake and strain over ice into glass and serve. Sugarcoated rim optional.

Number Of Ingredients 9

2 tablespoons ancho chile powder
2 tablespoons light brown sugar
1 tablespoon dried parsley
1 teaspoon cayenne, optional
Pinch kosher salt
8 sliced bacon, cooked until crispy
3 teaspoons garlic powder
1 batch prepared stove-top gourmet popcorn (1 cup unpopped, 14 to 15 cups popped)
4 tablespoons melted butter (3 ounces)

Steps:

  • In a food processor, combine the chile powder, cayenne, if using, the parsley, brown sugar, bacon and salt. Buzz them until they are powdered. Toss in the garlic powder and mix to combine.
  • Put the prepared popcorn into a large bowl and drizzle with the melted butter, tossing to coat. Add the spice mixture and toss again, then serve.
  • It's like one thousand angels saying "Hello!" to your taste buds.

  • Make cut in center of clementine sections; arrange on rim of glass.
