Taco Bell Beefy 5-Layer Burrito (Copycat) image

Taco Bell Beefy 5-Layer Burrito (Copycat) is an easy, cheesy meal with refried beans, ground beef, cheddar cheese, nacho cheese, and sour cream.

12 burrito sized flour tortillas
3 cups Refried Beans
1 pound Taco Bell Ground Beef
1 1/2 cups Nacho Cheese Sauce
1 cup cheddar cheese (, finely shredded)
1 cup light sour cream

Steps:

  • Wrap tortillas in damp paper towels and microwave for 20 seconds on 50% power.
  • Add the nacho cheese sauce to half the tortillas and spread evenly leaving a 1 inch border.
  • Top with remaining tortillas and gently press down.
  • Top the second tortilla with refried beans, Taco Bell ground beef, sour cream and cheddar cheese.
  • Carefully fold in the top and bottom and wrap tightly before serving (some cheese may escape so be careful while wrapping)

1 lb ground beef
1 pkg taco seasoning mix
1 (16 oz) can refried beans
1 cup chili con queso
4 burrito sized tortillas, warmed
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup sour cream

Steps:

  • Brown ground beef in a skillet. Drain off any excess grease. Add in the taco seasoning and cook according to pkg directions. Set aside.
  • Heat refried bean until heated through.
  • Heat queso until warm.
  • To assemble, lay 1 warm tortilla out flat. Spread 1/4 of the queso onto the tortilla leaving space around the edges.
  • Carefully spread 1/4 of the refried beans over the queso.
  • Spoon 1/4 of the prepared beef down the middle of the tortilla on top of the beans.
  • Sprinkle with 1/4 the amount of cheese on top of the beef. Add a couple dollops of sour cream.
  • Roll up sides and serve warm. Repeat he same process until all the burritos are made. Makes 4 burritos.

1/8 c taco seasoning (or a store-bought packet)
3/4 c water
8 whole wheat tortillas
8 oz Velveeta cheese made with 2% milk, melted
1 c low fat re-fried beans
1 c Mexican style cheese blend, shredded
1/2 c low fat sour cream

Steps:

  • In a large skillet coated with olive oil, brown the ground beef. Add taco seasoning and water, simmer until mostly evaporated. Remove from heat and cover until ready for assembly. Spread 4 T of the Velveeta over four tortillas, sandwich with the remaining tortillas. Spread approx. 1/4 cup each re-fried beans, shredded cheese, and taco meat; top with sour cream. Roll up tortilla and enjoy!
