2.5 lbs Round Steaks
1/2 cup Flour
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Black Pepper
1 Tbsp Minced Garlic
3 Tbsp Olive Oil
1/2 Cup Beef Broth
28 oz Petite Diced Tomatoes
2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
1 Onion (Diced into Large Chunks)
1 Green Bell Pepper (Diced into Large Chunks)

Steps:

  • Shake the steaks in flour in a gallon size zip lock bag to coat the steaks thoroughly with the flour.
  • Heat the olive oil in a large sauce pan on medium high heat. Cook the steaks on each sides until slightly brown (approximately 3-5 minutes on each side). Transfer the steaks to the crock pot.
  • Put the remaining ingredients in the crock pot. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the steak is tender.
  • Serve over mashed potatoes and enjoy!

4 potatoes, peeled and quartered
2 onions, sliced
4 carrots, sliced

1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce

Steps:

  • Heat the oil in a skillet, then coat the steak with flour and brown in the oil.
  • Remove the steak from the skillet and drain.
  • Place the potatoes, carrots and onion in the bottom of the Crock-Pot.
  • Place the steak on top of the vegetables and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Pour the tomatoes and tomato sauce over the meat.
  • Cover; cook on Low for 10 hours or on High for 6 hours.

I threw this together in my crock pot one day and we loved it! A little time consuming because I sauteed the vegetables and browned the meat first, but it's well worth it. Browning the meat first gives it a better flavor. This is great with mashed potatoes!

¼ cup all-purpose flour
salt and pepper to taste
1 ½ pounds round steak, cut into small pieces
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
3 stalks celery, chopped
1 onion, chopped
3 carrots, shredded
2 (14.5 ounce) cans diced tomatoes with juice
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar, or to taste

Steps:

  • In a shallow bowl, mix the flour, salt, and pepper. Lightly coat the round steak pieces in the flour mixture.
  • Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat, and saute the celery, onion, and carrots about 5 minutes, until tender. Remove from heat, and set aside. Mix in the round steak pieces, and cook until lightly browned.
  • Place the vegetables and steak in a slow cooker. Mix in the tomatoes with juice, Worcestershire sauce, and brown sugar.
  • Cover, and cook 8 to 10 hours on Low, until the round steak is very tender.

1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour, divided
2 teaspoons salt, divided
3/4 teaspoon pepper, divided
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
2 pounds beef top round steak, cut into serving-size pieces
3 tablespoons canola oil
2 cups chopped green pepper
1 cup chopped celery
1 cup chopped onion
1 garlic clove, minced
2 cans (14-1/2 ounces each) diced tomatoes, undrained
1 cup beef broth
1 tablespoon reduced-sodium soy sauce
1/4 cup cold water

Steps:

  • In a large plastic bag, combine 1/2 cup flour, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon pepper and garlic salt. Add beef, a few pieces at a time, and shake to coat. Remove meat from bag and pound with a mallet to tenderize. , In a Dutch oven, brown meat in oil until no longer pink. Add the green pepper, celery and onions; cook and stir for 10 minutes. Add garlic; cook 1 minute longer. Stir in the tomatoes, broth, soy sauce and remaining salt and pepper. Cover and bake at 325° for 2 hours. , Remove from the oven and return to stovetop. 1 1/2 lbs cubed steak
3 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
3 teaspoons garlic powder
olive oil
1 cup sliced celery
1 cup sliced carrot
1 cup sliced mushrooms
4 small potatoes
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 (12 ounce) cans Italian-style diced tomatoes
2 (12 ounce) cans beef gravy
green onion

Steps:

  • Cut meat into serving pieces.
  • Combine flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder and mustard.
  • Coat each piece of meat with flour mixture.
  • Brown the meat in skillet with small amount of olive oil.
  • Drain off all fat.
  • Cut small potatoes into 4 pieces and line bottom of crock pot with them.
  • Add meat on top of potatoes.
  • Add carrots, celery, mushrooms on top.
  • Pour Worcestershire sauce over vegetables.
  • Pour diced tomatoes over vegetables.
  • Pour gravy over tomatoes and make holes on side so it can partially run down the sides of vegetables.
  • Sprinkle sliced green onions on top of gravy to taste.
  • Cook on Low 8 to 10 hours till meat is tender and just falls apart when picked up.
  • Serve with hot noodles, rice or mashed potatoes!

1 yellow onion (diced)
2 (14.5) ounces diced tomatoes (do not drain)
1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

8 ounces mushrooms (sliced)
2 garlic cloves (diced)

Steps:

  • Pat down your steak with the flour (you can cut it up into strips, I kept mine in whole steaks for my husband and me).
  • In a slow cooker, place your diced onions, tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, mushrooms and garlic. Add the floured round steak.
  • Cook on low for 8-10 hours
