SLOW COOKER TERIYAKI CHICKEN
This is a very easy and delicious slow cooker recipe for teriyaki chicken with only 5 ingredients. Serve over rice.

- Combine chicken broth, teriyaki sauce, brown sugar, and garlic in a large bowl. Add chicken and toss with the sauce until well mixed. Pour into the slow cooker.
- Cook on Low until chicken is done, 4 to 6 hours.

Steps:
- Place chicken in a 6 qt crock pot.
- In a large bowl, combine the sugar, soy sauce, cider vinegar, ginger, garlic and pepper.
- Pour over chicken.
- Cover and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours or until chicken is tender.
- Remove chicken to a serving platter; keep warm.
- Skim fat from cooking liquid or put it through a mesh strainer.
- Place liquid in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
- Combine cornstarch and water until smooth.
- Gradually stir into liquid and stir until sauce is thickened.
- Serve over rice and garnish with green onion and sesame seeds.
- Note: I halved the recipe and it still worked fine in my crock pot. I kept the amount of sauce the same and it was done in about 2 1/2 hours.

- Add olive oil, chicken, soy sauce, hoisin sauce and garlic to Crock Pot in that order, then cook on low for 8 hours.
- Meanwhile, make side dishes if desired. To steam broccoli, I usually use a steamer or boil in water for 2 minutes on the stove before draining.
- To make rice: Add 1 cup dry white rice, 2 cups water and 1 tsp of butter to a rice cooker.
- When chicken is done cooking, shred or dice into bite-sized pieces then add overtop of rice and serve with broccoli. Enjoy!
