Cheddar Bacon Crackers - quick homemade bacon and cheddar cheese crackers. These things fly off the plate at parties! Super easy to make and they taste fantastic! Flour, baking powder, cayenne, butter, cheese, bacon, and milk. Use your food processor and the dough is ready in a minute! The recipe makes about 5 dozen crackers - perfect for a party! 2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp cayenne pepper
1 cup butter (cold and cubed)
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup cooked chopped bacon pieces
¼ cup milk

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375ºF. Line baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
  • In the bowl of a food processor, pulse together flour, baking powder, cayenne, and butter until a crumbly dough forms. Add cheese, bacon and milk. Pulse just until dough forms.
  • Using a small cookie scoop (1 Tbsp), scoop dough onto parchment lined baking sheets. Flatten in a criss-cross pattern with a floured fork.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes.

1 pound sliced bacon, cut into thirds
1 pound brown sugar

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 250 degrees F (120 degrees C).
  • Arrange the crackers in a single layer on a large baking sheet. Top each cracker with 1/3 slice bacon, and sprinkle desired amount of brown sugar over all.
  • Bake 1 hour in the preheated oven, or until browned and crisp. Serve warm.

Number Of Ingredients 7

8 ounces sharp Cheddar, finely grated
1 cup all-purpose flour
4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) butter, cut into pieces
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
Pinch of cayenne
3 tablespoons ice water

Steps:

  • Put the Cheddar, flour, butter, salt, seasoned salt and cayenne in a food processor and pulse until the mixture resembles sand. Add the ice water and pulse until the dough comes together. Form the dough into a ball, wrap in plastic and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with a silicone baking mat.
  • Roll out the dough to 1/4-inch thickness and cut into squares with a pizza cutter. Use a wooden skewer to poke a small hole in the center of each square. Transfer to the prepared baking sheet and bake until golden brown, 15 to 17 minutes. Allow to cool before packing up.

I had these yummy treats at a party recently. The hostess was kind enough to give me the recipe. You will not believe how easy these are. This recipe is easily doubled or tripled for a crowd. Club crackers work very well for this.

24 teaspoons grated parmesan cheese
12 pieces bacon, cut in half

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
  • Line cookie sheet with foil, for easy clean up and place a rack on it.
  • Put one teaspoon of cheese on each cracker.
  • Wrap each cracker with one half slice of bacon and place on the rack.
  • Bake for 2 hours at 250.
