Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
- Put the garlic cloves on a square of heavy foil, drizzle with the olive oil and sprinkle on some salt and pepper. Wrap it up and bake until the garlic is golden, nutty and mushy, about 1 hour. Let cool. Lower the oven temperature to 350 degrees F.
- Mix the garlic together with the 4 cheeses, chives, crushed red pepper flakes and some black pepper in a bowl.
- Cut the bread in strips in one direction, being careful not to cut all the way through the loaf. Rotate the bread 90 degrees and cut in the other direction. Stuff the cheese mixture in between the rows. Drizzle the melted butter all over the top.
- Wrap in foil and bake for 25 minutes. Open up the foil and bake until the cheese is hot and bubbly, another 10 minutes. Serve immediately.

Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Lightly grease a 6-inch cast-iron skillet with canola oil spray.
- Remove the biscuits from the package and lay them out on a clean work surface. Gently pull the layers apart at the middle to divide the biscuits in half. Gently pull each of the halves apart so you are left with four thin, round biscuits each (32 in all). Don't worry if any biscuits tear: just press the torn pieces back together.
- Place 1 teaspoon of the mozzarella in the center of each biscuit round; you will use about 1 1/2 cups of the mozzarella for this. Fold the dough around the cheese and roll into balls. Arrange the balls in a circle around the edge of the prepared skillet, then work your way in until you have completely filled the cast-iron pan with the dough balls. If you start to run out of room as you get closer to the center of the skillet, gently push the dough from the center towards the edges of the pan to make more space.
- Melt the butter in a medium skillet over medium-high heat. Once melted, stir in the scallions, garlic, red pepper and salt. Cook until the butter is just beginning to brown and the garlic is lightly toasted and very fragrant, 2 to 3 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the vinegar. Pour the melted butter evenly over the top of the dough and sprinkle with the remaining 1/2 cup mozzarella.
- Bake until the dough is cooked through and golden brown, 25 to 30 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool slightly, about 10 minutes. Serve in the skillet.

Steps:
- To make the dough, whisk together the water, yeast and sugar. Allow to stand for 5 minutes until frothy.
- In the bowl of a stand mixer, combine the flour and salt and mix.
- Pour the yeast mixture into the flour and mix until the dough starts to come together. Add the egg and butter then knead for 5 minutes until the dough is soft and smooth. The dough should come away from the sides of the bowl while kneading.
- If the dough is too sticky, add 2-3 tablespoons flour, one tbsp at a time and allow to knead until the dough is smooth.
- Transfer the dough to a greased bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Place in a warm spot and allow to rise for 60-90 minutes until doubled in size.
- Once the dough has risen, break golf-ball sized pieces off and flatten in the palm of your hand. Add a cube of cheese then bring all the edges up, pinching them together then roll into balls.
- Place the dough balls onto a parchment-lined baking sheet or large sheet pan in the shape of a Christmas tree. Allow a little space in between the dough balls.
- Cover the Christmas tree bread loosely with plastic wrap and allow to rise while the oven heats up.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F.
- Brush the risen bread with beaten egg and sprinkle with dried herbs and salt.
- Place in the oven and allow to bake for 20-25 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and cooked through.

- In a bowl, combine the hot melted butter, garlic and diced green onion, stir and allow to sit for just a minute or two.
- Slice the bread in a crisscross pattern - do not cut all the way through - just to about the bottom inch or so of bread. I begin slicing diagonally one way about an inch apart, then rotate the loaf and slice the opposite way diagonally. If the bread flattens, don't worry - it's quite forgiving, it will be fine.
- Slowly pour the butter mixture into the crevices of the bread. Go slow so you can cover the whole bread. If you have a very large loaf of bread, you can add some more butter or add olive oil to the mixture to make it go further. (about 1/4 cup). It goes pretty far though, so you should be okay with the original recipe.

- Combine butter, garlic and salt in a heatproof bowl and melt in the microwave. Stir through parsley.
- Cut the bread on a diagonal into 2cm/1" diamonds but do not cut all the way through the bread.
- Use your fingers or a knife to pry open each crack and drizzle in a teaspoon of butter and stuff in a pinch of cheese. This might sound like a bit of an effort, but I promise you it is worth it! You don't need to be super neat, it's nice to have some of the butter drizzled over the crust.
