Chocolate Coconut Slice Recipe

  1. weet-bix
  2. desiccated coconut
  3. caster sugar
  4. self-raising flour
  5. cocoa
  6. butter
  7. vanilla essence
  8. icing sugar
  9. hot water


  1. preheat oven to 180c
  2. grease a 16x26cm baking pan and line with baking paper
  3. break up the wholewheat buscuits into a large mixing bowl with the coconut and sugar
  4. into the same bowl sift in the cocoa and self-raising flour and stir
  5. melt the butter and pour of the dry ingredients , add vanilla essence and stir till well combined
  6. spoon mixture into prepared pan and press down to level
  7. bake for 15 minutes or until cooked
  8. icing: sift icing sugar and cocoa into a small mixing bowl
  9. add the hot water and stir well
  10. ice slice while it is still warm
  11. cut into squares to serve
