Chocolate Frosted Toffees Recipe

Time: 55 minutes



  1. flaked coconut
  2. butter
  3. sweetened condensed milk
  4. dark corn syrup
  5. brown sugar
  6. salt
  7. vanilla
  8. flour
  9. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  10. cream
  11. powdered sugar


  1. toast coconut at 350f for 10- 12 minutes , stirring occasionally , until lightly browned
  2. cool
  3. grease 13x9-inch pan with 2 tablespoons butter
  4. combine toasted coconut , condensed milk , corn syrup , brown sugar , 4 tablespoons butter , salt , vanilla and flour
  5. mix well
  6. spread in pan
  7. bake at 350f for 25-30 minutes until golden brown
  8. cool and then frost
  9. cut into squares after frosting is firm
  10. frosting: melt chocolate chips in cream over low heat
  11. stir in powdered sugar , butter and vanilla

See more I followed the recipe exactly and was amazed that a toffee flavor could come from toasted coconut. It was very easy and is definitely a do again. By the way I opted to melt the chocolate for the frosting using the microwave (pulsing at 30 sec intervals) and that worked well.
