Chocolate Malted Brownies Recipe

  1. unsweetened chocolate
  2. butter
  3. sugar
  4. vanilla
  5. eggs
  6. flour
  7. baking powder
  8. salt
  9. instant malted milk powder
  10. pecans', "confectioners' sugar", 'milk


  1. preheat oven to 350
  2. melt chocolate in a saucepan or a double boiler over simmering water
  3. remove from heat and set aside
  4. cream butter
  5. add the sugar and the vanilla
  6. beat in the eggs
  7. blend in melted chocolate
  8. sift flour , baking powder , salt , and malted milk powder
  9. add to chocolate mixture , stirring well
  10. fold in nuts
  11. pour batter into a greased and floured 8 inch square pan
  12. bake for 25 to 30 minutes
  13. remove from oven while brownies are still moist
  14. spread malted-milk glaze over brownies
  15. malted milk glaze:
  16. cream together butter , malted milk powder , salt , sugar and 1 t
  17. of milk
  18. stir in remaining milk , as necessary , for spreading consistency
