Chocolate Pancake Recipe

  1. milk
  2. baking powder
  3. all-purpose flour
  4. baking soda
  5. sugar
  6. salt
  7. eggs
  8. oil
  9. vanilla extract
  10. nutella


  1. mix all the dry ingredients together in a bowl
  2. spread some nutella in a circular path just the size of the pancake on a butter sheet or a container butter is spread
  3. put it in the freezer and let it freeze
  4. now coming back to the mixture , make a hollow in the centre and add the milk
  5. add the milk slowly and mix the flour
  6. add the two eggs , oil and vanilla if using
  7. whisk until mixed but leave it a bit lumpy
  8. heat a frying pan and add oil or butter if not nonstick
  9. when the pan turns hot , put in some pancake mix
  10. the size of the pancake depends on your flipping skills
  11. if you can flip pancakes easily you can pour in some good quantity
  12. if you are a beginner , let the mix be poured in little quantities
  13. now comes the chocolaty part !
  14. when the upper side starts to bubble , place the freezed nutella on top of the pancake and cover it with some more batter and flip the pancake
  15. continue cooking until both sides turn brown
  16. the first pancake can be a bit of a test
  17. so adjust the milk accordingly after your first pancake
  18. repeat the process with the remaining batter
  19. your tasty chocolate pancake is ready to eat !

See more I don't know why previous commenters are saying that this batter is thin and runny. Other than adding a tbsp of baking powder (as I prefer fluffy pancakes) and an extra tbsp of sugar since I didn't have chocolate chips on hand, I followed the recipe to the letter and the batter was the perfect thickness for scooping and pouring.
