CHOCOLATE STAR COOKIES
Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350°F and line two baking sheets with parchment or silicone baking mats.
- Whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt; set aside.
- Beat together butter, peanut butter and both sugars until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs and vanilla until well blended. Scrape bowl.
- Slowly add dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Form dough into 1" balls, and roll in ¾ cup sugar to coat.
- Place on prepared baking sheets, 1" apart; bake for 8 minutes.
- Remove from oven and quickly press 1 Milk Chocolate Star into center of each cookie.
- Return to oven; bake for 3-4 minutes (or longer if you prefer crispier cookies).
- Let cool completely on wire racks. Store, tightly covered, up to four days.

- Preheat oven to 350°
- In a stand mixer with the paddle attachment or white a hand mixer, cream the butter, peanut butter, white sugar, and brown sugar, until they are fluffy and completely combined.
- Mix in the egg and vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl sift together the flour, salt, and baking soda.
- Add the flour mixture the the butter mixture a little at a time until it is fully combined. NOTE: do not over mix at this point, or you will have tough cookies!
- Roll the dough into balls a little smaller than the size of a golf ball, it will be 1 heaping tablespoon of dough per cookie. Roll the dough balls in the sugar.Place on a parchment or silpat lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and lightly press 1 star in the middle of each cookie. Place back in the oven for an additional 2 1/2 minutes. (NOTE: You may have to bake the cookies in 2 or 3 batches.)
- Cool the cookies on a cooling rack and then serve!

- Combine flour, sugar and baking powder. Microwave butter and chocolate in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min. or until butter is melted; stir until chocolate is completely melted and mixture is well blended. Add cream cheese; mix well. Gradually add flour mixture, mixing well after each addition. Refrigerate 30 min.
- Heat oven to 375ºF. Roll dough to 1/8-inch thickness on lightly floured surface. Use 3-inch cookie cutter to cut dough into star shapes, rerolling scraps as necessary.
- Place, 2 inches apart, on parchment-covered baking sheets.
- Bake 12 min. or until edges are lightly browned. Cool on baking sheets 3 min. Remove to wire racks; cool completely.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Cream together butter, both sugars and vanilla. (When you add vanilla to any recipe, add it to the fat, this being the butter/oil, and the flavor will be more noticeable.).
- Beat in eggs one at a time.
- Dissovle baking soda in hot water. Add to batter.
- Add salt.
- Slowly add flour.
- Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
- Drop onto ungreased cookie sheet, about 1 inch apart.
