Chocolate Yogurt Cheesecake Recipe

  1. low-fat vanilla yogurt
  2. graham cracker crumbs
  3. sugar
  4. cocoa
  5. cornstarch
  6. eggs
  7. vanilla extract
  8. almond extract
  9. fresh fruit


  1. prepare yogurt cheese
  2. preheat oven to 300f
  3. sprinkle graham cracker crumbs on the bottom of a 8-inch springform pan
  4. in medium bowl with whisk , gently mix yogurt cheese , sugar , cocoa and cornstarch until well blended
  5. add eggs , vanilla and almond extract
  6. stir until blended
  7. pour into prepared pan
  8. bake in oven for 55 to 60 minutes or until edges are set
  9. remove from oven to cooling rack
  10. cool 30 minutes at room temperature
  11. with knife , loosen cake from side of pan
  12. refrigerate before serving
  13. garnish with fruit , if desired
  14. yogurt cheese: line non-rusting colander or sieve with large piece of double thickness cheesecloth or large coffee filter
  15. place colander over deep bowl
  16. spoon yogurt into prepared colander
  17. cover with plastic wrap
  18. refrigerate until liquid no longer drains from yogurt , about 24 hours
  19. remove yogurt from cheesecloth
  20. discard liquid
