A little something to sweeten your day and boost your mood! Sweet cherries and cacao blended with almond milk come together creating this healthy, rich and flavorful vegan Chocolate Cherry Smoothie.

2 cups frozen cherries
1 cup unsweetened almond milk (plain or vanilla)
2 tablespoons raw cacao powder (cocoa powder is ok too)
1 small medjool date (pitted and chopped) or 1 teaspoon pure maple syrup, optional
1 scoop protein powder (plain or vanilla) or 2 tablespoons almond butter, optional
granola
cacao nibs
hemp hearts

Steps:

  • In blender, add ingredients and blend until smooth, adding a little extra milk as needed.
  • Serve with optional toppings and eat with a spoon or sip with a straw. Enjoy often!
  • Makes 1 generous, or 2 small, servings.

1/2 cup sugar free vanilla yogurt
1/4 cup nonfat milk
1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
4 ice cubes
1 teaspoon honey (optional)

Steps:

  • In the jar of a blender, combine the cherries, yogurt, milk, cocoa, and ice cubes. Blend on high speed or ice crush setting for 30-60 seconds, or until smooth. Stir in the honey, if desired.
  • Pour into a glass. Serve immediately.

¾ cup frozen (not thawed) unsweetened sweet cherries
½ cup sugar-free, fat-free vanilla yogurt
¼ cup fat-free milk
1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
4 ice cubes
1 teaspoon honey (optional)
