8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup cocoa (preferably Dutch processed)
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 cups powdered sugar

Steps:

  • Cream together cream cheese and butter.
  • Add cocoa, cinnamon, vanilla, and 3 3/4 cup powdered sugar. Beat together for about 30 seconds.
  • Add more sugar if necessary and beat until the frosting is fluffy, about 2 minutes more.

1 teaspoon instant coffee granules
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 pinch salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup butter, softened
3 cups confectioners' sugar
⅓ cup milk

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, mash instant coffee with the back of a spoon until powdery. Stir in cinnamon and salt. In a large bowl, beat the butter until smooth, then stir in spice mixture and vanilla. Alternately beat in confectioners' sugar and milk until desired consistency is achieved.

4 cups confectioners' sugar
¼ cup butter, softened
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

Steps:

  • In a bowl, beat together the cream cheese, 3 tablespoons milk, confectioner's sugar, butter, vanilla, cocoa, and cinnamon to a spreadable consistency. Beat in additional milk if necessary. For a darker frosting add more cocoa or up to 4 ounces melted chocolate. Spread onto cooled cake.

3 3/4 cups powdered sugar, sifted
3 -4 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Steps:

  • Place butter in large bowl.
  • Beat on low 30 seconds.
  • Add sugar about a cup at a time, beating on low between each addition.
  • Add 3 tablespoons milk, vanilla and cinnamon.
  • Beat on medium 1 minute.
  • Blend in up to 1 tablespoons of milk if frosting is too thick.

1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
FROSTING:
1/2 cup butter, cubed
1/3 cup heavy whipping cream
1/4 cup baking cocoa
1-1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
3 cups confectioners' sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup finely chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • In a bowl, combine the first four ingredients. In a saucepan, combine the water, oil, butter and cocoa; bring just to a boil over medium heat. Pour over dry ingredients; mix well. Add eggs, buttermilk, vanilla and baking soda; mix well. Pour into a greased 15x10x1-in. baking pan. , Bake at 375° for 15-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Place on a wire rack., Meanwhile, for frosting, combine the butter, cream, cocoa and cinnamon in a saucepan. Cook and stir over medium heat until butter is melted and mixture is heated through. Remove from the heat; beat in sugar and vanilla until smooth. Stir in walnuts. Carefully spread over warm cake. Cool completely.
