CHOCOLATE PEPPER COOKIES (SOUTH AFRICA) RECIPE - (4.7/5)

Steps:

• 1. Melt 8 ounces of the chocolate and set aside. 2. Beat the butter until light and airy. Add the sugar and beat until completely incorporated into butter. 3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each one. 4. In a separate bowl, sift or whisk the flour and baking soda. With the mixer on low speed, slowly add the dry ingredients to to butter mixture little by little, until just incorporated. 5. Mix the melted chocolate into the butter mixture. Stir in the remaining chopped chocolate and the ground pepper. Cover and refrigerate until dough is cool and firm. 6. Preheat oven to 350° F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper (or grease generously). 7. Drop the batter by the tablespoonful onto the baking sheet, about 1 inch apart on sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until crisp on outside but still chewy inside.

• Melt half the chocolate.
• Beat butter until light and airy.
• Add sugar and beat until completely incorporated into butter.
• Beat in eggs one by one.
• Combine flour and baking soda and sift into butter mixture little by little until incorporated.
• Mix chocolate into the butter mixture.
• Stir in remaining chopped chocolate and pepper.
• Cover and refrigerate until dough is cool and firm.
• Preheat oven to 350°F.

• Place tablespoonful of batter about 1 inch apart on sheet.
• Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until crisp on outside but still chewy inside.

• Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
• In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, mix the butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar until fully combined. Add the eggs and mix to combine. Add the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt and mix. Add the pecans and both chocolate chips; mix until just combined.
• Drop heaping tablespoons of dough onto the baking sheets. Bake, rotating the sheets once halfway through, until the cookies are set, about 12 minutes. Transfer to a rack to cool. Repeat with the remaining dough.

Steps:

• Mix together flour and baking powder and set aside.
• Bring a pan of water to a boil and remove from heat. Combine chocolate and butter in a heat proof bowl and set over pan of water, stirring occasionally until melted.
• In a large bowl, whisk eggs with salt , then whisk in both sugars. Whisk in chocolate mixture, then rum.
• Stir in flour to form a soft dough. Scrape dough onto a piece of plastic wrap and wrap tightly. Chill 2 hours.
• Set racks in upper and lower thirds of the oven and preheat to 350 degrees. Flour your hands and rool the chilled dough into 2-teaspoon balls. They don't have to be too neat. Roll each ball in confectioners' sugar. Arrange well apart on prepared pans and bake about 12 minutes. cool pans on a rack before removing cookies from pan

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
• In a medium bowl, stir together the cake mix, eggs and oil until well blended. Fold in the chocolate chips. Roll the dough into walnut sized balls. Place the cookies 2 inches apart on the cookie sheet.
• Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.

Steps:

• Put sugar and water into a large heavy saucepan.
• Stir over a low heat until the sugar has dissolved.
• Add the butter and syrup and stil until the butter has melted.
• Add the condensed milk and stir until it comes to the boil.
• Boil very slowly, stirring all the time, until soft ball stage.
• Remove from the stove, add the vanilla and beat until it thickens.
• Pour into a greased pan and leave to cool.
• Cut into squares when cold.
