1 (9 inch) prepared graham cracker crust
1 (5.9 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix
1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
10 gummi worms

Steps:

  • Make instant pudding according to directions on box.
  • Dump pudding into pie crust.
  • Spread whipped topping on top of the pudding.
  • Refrigerate until not too gooey.
  • Garnish with gummy worms.

1/2 cup cold skim milk
1 ounce fat-free chocolate flavor instant pudding and pie mix
6 ounces Oreo cookie pie crusts
2 cups thawed fat-free cool whip or 2 cups sugar-free Cool Whip, divided

Steps:

  • Pour Milk into large bowl.
  • Add dry pudding mix.
  • Beat with wire whisk 2 minutes or until well blended.
  • Spoon half of the pudding mix into crust.
  • Gently stir 1 cup of the whipped topping into remaining pudding: spoon over pudding layer in crust.
  • Top with the remaining 1 cup whipped topping.
  • Refrigerate at least 3 hours. Store in refrigerator.

This is my favorite pie recipe. I got the recipe from the back of a Hannaford graham cracker box. So yummy. Cooking time is refrigeration time.

12 whole honey graham crackers, crushed
3 tablespoons brown sugar
6 tablespoons butter, melted
1 1/2 cups milk
8 ounces sour cream
4 1/4 ounces chocolate instant pudding, dry

Steps:

  • To make the crust: preheat oven to 300ºF. Grease 9-inch pie plate. In medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and sugar. Add butter; mix thoroughly. Press mixture onto bottom and sides of pie plate.
  • Bake 10 minute Cool completely.
  • To make the filling: in medium bowl, combine milk and pudding, stirring until thickened. Stir in sour cream just until blended. Pour into crust. Refrigerate 1 1/2 hours until set.

This recipe came from the Kraft Foods fall edition. I took their suggestion to save calories and made the appropriate adjustments. I chose also to use a graham cracker crust rather than an Oreo cookie crust, but either works equally well. I didn't have any chocolate to curl for garnish for the photo, but that wouldn't add TOO many calories and might just have to be included next time!

1 (1 ounce) package sugar-free instant chocolate pudding mix
6 ounces oreo cookie prepared pie crusts (or graham cracker crust, your choice)
1 (8 ounce) container fat-free cool whip

Steps:

  • Pour milk into a large mixing bowl.
  • Add dry pudding mix.
  • Beat with wire whisk for 2 minutes.
  • Spoon half of pudding mix into crust.
  • Gently stir 1 cup of whipped topping into remaining pudding mix still in the bowl.
  • Spoon over pudding layer in the crust.
  • Top with the remaining Cool Whip.
  • Refrigerate at least 3 hours.
  • Store in refrigerator.

1 cup chocolate wafer crumbs, about half of one 9-ounce package, about 23 cookies, finely ground in processor
2 tablespoons sugar
5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
2 ounces bittersweet chocolate, finely chopped (60% cacao)
1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 3/4 cups whole milk, divided
1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
4 ounces bittersweet chocolate, finely chopped (60% cacao)
1 tablespoon dark rum
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chilled creme fraiche
1 cup chilled heavy whipping cream
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
bittersweet chocolate shavings (optional)

Steps:

  • Crust:.
  • Position rack in center of oven; preheat to 350°F Blend cookie crumbs and sugar in processor. Add melted butter; process until crumbs are evenly moistened. Press crumb mixture onto bottom and up sides (not rim) of 9-inch-diameter glass pie dish. Bake until crust begins to set and no longer looks moist, pressing gently with back of fork if crust puffs, about 12 minutes. Remove crust from oven, then sprinkle chopped chocolate over bottom of crust. Let stand until chocolate softens, 1 to 2 minutes. Using offset spatula or small rubber spatula, spread chocolate over bottom and up sides of crust to cover. Chill crust until chocolate sets, about 30 minutes.
  • Filling:.
  • Whisk sugar, cocoa, cornstarch, and salt to blend in heavy medium saucepan. Gradually add 1/3 cup milk, whisking until smooth paste forms. Whisk in remaining milk, then 1/4 cup cream. Using flat-bottom wooden spoon or heatproof spatula, stir mixture constantly over medium heat, scraping bottom and sides of pan until pudding thickens and begins to bubble at edges, about 5 minutes. Add chocolate; stir until mixture is smooth. Remove from heat; stir in rum and vanilla. Pour hot pudding into crust and spread evenly. Cool 1 hour at room temperature. Cover with plastic wrap; chill overnight. DO AHEAD: Can be made 2 days ahead. Keep refrigerated.

  • Using electric mixer, beat crème fraîche, whipping cream, sugar, and vanilla in medium bowl just until stiff peaks form and mixture is thick enough to spread (do not overbeat or mixture may curdle). Spread topping decoratively over top of pie, swirling to create peaks, if desired. DO AHEAD: Pie can be made 6 hours ahead. Cover with cake dome and refrigerate.
  • Sprinkle chocolate shavings decoratively atop pie, if desired. Cut pie into wedges and serve.

1 1/4 cups Oreo cookie crumbs
1/4 cup butter, melted
1 1/2 cups milk
1 (8 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix
2 1/2 cups whipped cream

Steps:

  • Combine baking crumbs and butter in 9 inch pie plate.
  • Press firmly onto bottom and up side of pie plate to form crust.
  • Add milk to dry pudding in medium bowl. Beat with wire whisk 2 minutes.
  • Gently stir in 2 cups of the whipped topping.
  • Spoon into crust.
  • Refrigerate 30 minutes or until set.
  • Top each serving with 1 tbsp of the remaining whipped topping just before serving. Store in refrigerator.
