CHOW MEIN HOT DISH
i grew up on this easy meal. i still love it and so do my kids. use store brand soups, you'll never notice a difference, and because you drain and rinse the meat, you can use cheaper ground beef if you like! if you have a casserole that can go from stove top to oven, this is a one dish meal!!! enjoy!
Time: 35 minutes
Steps:
- brown the ground meat along with the celery and onions
- drain and rinse then combine in a casserole dish with the remaining ingredients , add the noodles last
- bake at 350 degrees for approximately 20-25 minutes until heated through
- serve with sticky white rice and a salad

Steps:
- Cook ground beef until brown.
- Add onion and celery, cook until almost tender.
- Add remaining ingredients except chow mein noodles.
- Put into a two quart casserole dish.
- Cover and bake at 350 degrees for one hour and fifteen minutes.
- Uncover and layer with chow mein noodles.
- Return to oven, uncovered and bake until noodles are brown, about 15 minutes.

- Finely chop onion, celery and green pepper. Brown hamburger and add chopped vegetables and sauté. Add salt and pepper. Mix soups, milk and mayonnaise and add to cooked meat and vegetables. Pour into a 9 x 12 greased and add the chow mein noodles mixing till combined. Top with Cashews.

- Meanwhile, brown ground beef over medium high heat in large skillet for about 5 minutes.
