AUNTIE'S EASY SPRITZ COOKIE RECIPE

Steps:

• Use all ingredients at room temperature. Leave out the milk if you use a meat grinder. Mix thouroughly and put the cookie dough into the fridge for one hour. Make sure it is packed air-tight to not take on any weird fridge flavors.
• Take the spritz cookie dough out of the fridge. Knead it and let it sit at room temperature for 15 minutes.
• Run it throught the meat grinder to make spritz cookies. OR fill it into a piping bag or cookie press and make some test cookies. If necessary, add a little bit of milk to make the spritz cookie dough softer.
• Preheat the oven to 180°C/°F. Bake the spritz cookies for 10 - 15 minutes.

SPRITZ COOKIES III

Steps:

• Cream together butter and confectioner's sugar in bowl until light and fluffy, using electric mixer at medium speed. Beat in egg, egg yolk and almond extract; blend well.
• Gradually stir flour into creamed mixture, mixing well.
• Fit flower crown design into cookie press. Place 1/2 of the dough in cookie press at a time, forcing dough through press, about 1 inch apart, on ungreased baking sheets.
• Place 1/4 of a red or green candied cherry in center of each. Bake in 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) oven 7-10 minutes or until set but not browned. Remove from baking sheets; cool on racks.

LIME SPRITZ COOKIES

Steps:

• In a large bowl, cream the butter, sugar and gelatin until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Combine flour and baking powder; gradually add to the creamed mixture and mix well. , Using a cookie press fitted with the disk of your choice, press dough into desired shapes 2 in. apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Sprinkle with colored sugar if desired. , Bake at 350° for 8-10 minutes or until set. Remove to wire racks to cool.

SPRITZ COOKIES

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 375°F.
• With a mixer on medium speed, cream butter, powdered sugar, and salt until fluffy. Mix in egg, vanilla, and almond extract.
• Add flour a little bit at a time beating after each addition.
• Place dough into a cookie press. Squeeze cookies about 1 ½" apart and add sprinkles if desired.
• Bake 7-9 minutes.

CREAM CHEESE SPRITZ COOKIES

Steps:

• 1. Combine margarine, softened cream cheese and sugar, mixing until well blended. Blend in vanilla. Add flour and salt; mix well. Chill. Force dough through cookie press onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 400^ for 8-10 minutes.
