CHUCK ROAST DINNER
A tasty tomato sauce nicely coats this comforting combination of beef, potatoes and carrots. "My father gave me the recipe," recalls Cindy Miller of Estes Park, Colorado. "It was one of our favorites when we would go hiking all day. It takes minutes to throw together."

- In a 5-qt. slow cooker, combine all ingredients. Cover and cook on high for 6-8 hours or until meat is tender.

Steps:
- 1.In a baking dish that your roast will fit in, place aluminum foil both width ways and length ways - you will be sealing the roast in the foil so make them long strips.
- Place the roast on top of the foil.
- Completely cover the roast with worcestershire sauce. There really isn't a measurement - just cover the roast.
- Place the cream of celery soup on the roast - covering the roast.
- Sprinkle the dry onion soup on top of the celery soup.
- Seal the roast with the foil.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 2-3 hours. (depends on the size of roast) This is wonderful with a baked potato and corn. It makes its own gravy so mashed potatoes would work as well.

I love my weeknight chuck roast that cooks all day in the slow cooker. Just season and add to your slow cooker and when you come home dinner is waiting! All you need to do is add your favorite sides; most of them can also be made in advance.

- Season beef chuck roast with sea salt and black pepper; put into the crock of a slow cooker with onion quarters and garlic cloves. Pour beef broth and vegetable broth over the roast. Lay bay leaves and thyme atop the roast.
- Cook on Low for 7 to 8 hours.
