  1. unsalted butter
  2. onion
  3. potatoes
  4. skim milk
  5. garlic cloves
  6. salt & pepper
  7. nutmeg
  8. low-fat plain yogurt


  1. saut the onion in the butter over medium heat until browned
  2. put potatoes , milk and garlic in a saucepan
  3. cover pot
  4. over medium heat simmer until the potatoes are cooked through stir occasionally
  5. remove potatoes with a slotted spoon and put them in the skillet with the onions
  6. mash potatoes with the onions
  7. add milk
  8. add the milk slowly until you have a lovely smooth texture
  9. stir in the yogurt , season to taste
