Prawn Coconut Curry Recipe with step by step pictures. This is made with Prawns and Masala cooked in a coconut sauce. This curry is perfect with the side of rice.

Steps:
- Take prawns in a bowl, add little salt and turmeric powder. Mix well and leave to marinate for 10 mins.
- Heat 1 tblspn oil in a pan, add in coriander, chillies, curry leaves and onion. Saute till golden. Add in coconut and saute till golden. Now add in turmeric and mix well. Cool this down, take it in a blender and puree till smooth.
- Take tomatoes and brinjal in a earthernware pot, Add in water and salt. Bring it to a boil and cook till veggies are half cooked.
- Now add in coconut masala, tamarind and mix well. Cook for 5 to 8 mins.
- Now add in prawns and simmer for 5 to 8 mins.
- Now the curry is done.

Steps:
- Cooking the Prawns * 3 tbsp grapeseed oil (or vegetable oil) To cook the prawns, remove them from the marinade and place onto paper towels. Gently pat them dry to remove the excess moisture. The leftover marinade should be discarded. If you are going to barbeque the prawns, place them onto skewers first. If cooking in a pan, preheat it over medium-high heat. Once the pan is nice and hot, dip a piece of paper towel into a bit of oil and lightly coat the pan. Place the prawns into the pan. If using a grill pan, press down on them slightly so they form nice grill marks. Let them cook for a minute or so per side. If you are unsure if the prawns are fully cooked, simply cut through the thickest part of one of them. If it's white all the way through, they are done. To serve the prawns, garnish a plate with a few sprigs of cilantro and fill a small ramekin with some of the reserved dipping sauce. Serve immediately.

- Wash prawns, remove shells, leaving heads and tails intact.
- Season prawns with ginger, coriander, oyster sauce, pepper for at least 30 minute.
- Add olive oil to honey and lemon juice.
- Brush prawns with this mixture.
- Grill at 200C for 10-15 minute.
- Baste once with leftover marinade with honey glaze.
- Serve grilled prawns with lemon slices.

- Heat sesame oil in a pan and add in the fennel seeds, cardamom and curry leaves. Let it sizzle. Add in the finely chopped onions and fry for 5-6 minutes until the onions are brown.
- Add in the tomatoes, ginger garlic paste, spice powders and the salt. Saute for 5-6 minutes on medium flame until the tomatoes are cooked and the oil starts separating from the mixture. The mixture should be dry by now.
- Add in the cleaned and de-veined prawns to the mixture. Prawns cook fast. Saute for 4-5 minutes until the prawns are fully cooked. Switch off the flame and garnish the prawn masala with coriander leaves.

- In a pan, add butter and once butter melts away, add soy sauce, honey, garlic, pepper and salt. Keep mixing this in low flame for a two minutes so that garlic is well done (or will give smell of raw garlic).
- Pour out this liquid mixture from step 1 aside and in the same pan add prawns and gently cook them for a a minute (pre-cooked prawns), and top it up with the puree from step 1.
