  2. bacon
  3. self-rising flour
  4. milk
  5. oil


  1. strain the corn
  2. dice the rashers of bacon and fry gently for a few minutes
  3. remove bacon from the pan
  4. make a batter with the flour and milk
  5. stir in the corn and bacon
  6. heat some oil in the frying pan and fry tablespoons of the mixture , turning once , until golden brown on both sides , about 5 minutes
