100 ml (1/2 cup) white wine

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 180ºC (350ºF).
  • On a baking dish, place the pork ribs cut into pieces, peeled potatoes cut into pieces, onion cut into quarters, white wine, salt, pepper, paprika, chopped garlic, bay leaf and olive oil. Bake until golden, about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Occasionally, drizzle the pork ribs and the potatoes with the sauce.
  • Turn off the oven and serve.

1 kilogram pork back ribs
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons paprika
2 teaspoons garlic powder
salt and pepper to taste
BBQ sauce of your choice

Steps:

  • Preheat your oven to 300 degree F pr 150 C.
  • Coat the ribs with the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Cover with aluminum foil.
  • Place in the oven for about 2 and a half hours.
  • Remove the ribs from the oven
  • Increase the heat to 400 degrees F or 200 C.
  • Baste with your choice of BBQ sauce.
  • Place the ribs back in the oven for 20 minutes. You should baste again after 10 minutes.
  • Enjoy your oven baked ribs.

Country-style Pork Ribs ribs are a great rich and fall-apart tender alternative to traditional ribs. Cheap, easy to make, and SO good, this might just be your new favorite way to eat pork.

Foil
Roasting pan (or rimmed baking sheet)
Silicone basting brush (optional)
Country-style pork ribs*
Salt and pepper
Your favorite BBQ sauce

Steps:

  • Preheat your oven to 300°F. Salt and pepper both sides of your ribs and place in a single layer in your pan, fattier side up.
  • Cover the pan tightly with foil and bake for 2 hours. Carefully (steam and liquid in the tray will be hot!) remove ribs from the oven and check the meat. They should be starting to become tender. If they still feel tough, re-cover them and place them back in the oven for 15 to 30 minutes.
  • Transfer ribs to a plate and drain liquid from the pan. Return ribs to tray and brush with a generous coating of BBQ sauce.
  • Turn oven down to 275°F and bake ribs, uncovered, for 1 hour more, or until you can pull the meat apart with a fork (if your ribs were small and already pretty tender when you put them back in the oven, start checking after 20 minutes). Brush with another coat of BBQ sauce, rest for 5 minutes, serve and enjoy!

  • Preheat oven to 250 degrees F (120 degrees C).
  • In a shallow baking pan or roaster, place ribs in a single layer; salt if desired. Spread the garlic on the ribs, then place the lemon slices on top. 3 lbs pork spareribs
7 tablespoons soy sauce
6 tablespoons light brown sugar
4 tablespoons hoisin sauce
2 tablespoons rice wine or 2 tablespoons sherry wine
2 tablespoons finely grated gingerroot
5 garlic cloves, peeled
1 small red chile, finely chopped
4 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch chunks
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 cups baby spinach leaves

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Place the ribs in a large pot of cold water. Bring to a boil and simmer for 30 minutes; drain. Pat the ribs dry with paper towels and return to the dry pot.
  • Combine 6 T. of the soy sauce, the sugar, hoisin sauce, rice wine, ginger, 2 cloves of the minced garlic, and the chili. Pour over the ribs and turn to coat. Marinate at room temperature for 30 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, toss the sweet potatoes and the 3 remaining cloves of garlic in the vegetable oil with the remaining soy sauce. Place in a single layer in a large roasting pan lined with aluminum foil or parchment paper. Roast for 15 minutes.
  • Place the ribs on top of the sweet potatoes, reserving any extra marinade. Return to oven and roast for 45 minutes or until dark and sticky. Baste with the extra marinade periodically.
  • Remove ribs from the pan, set aside, and keep warm. In a bowl, mash the sweet potatoes, garlic, butter and lemon juice. Serve with the ribs on a bed of baby spinach.

Another make ahead but most of mine are. I have no idea of the true cut name, but they were on sale for a bit under a buck a pound. SOLD, 3 pounds of them. roughly 3/4"crossgrain X9"X3" half with a gothic F shaped bone, all with sharply defined meat and fat. Went Great with Potato Salad.

3 lbs country pork strips (what they called them)
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons roasted garlic, just the pulp
1 tablespoon apple juice concentrate (unmixed frozen)
1 teaspoon dried chipotle powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon kosher salt

Steps:

  • Mix everything and coat both sides of Pork.
  • Lay the coated strips on a parchment covered sheet pan with sides.
  • This worked for me and avoided that messy cleanup.
  • Let marinade room at temp for half an hour.
  • Bake in a 275 oven for about 90 min, turning once.
  • Remove the meat, pour off any grease, put a flat rack on the pan, return meat laying now on the rack.
  • Run the oven up to 450F bake for about 10 minutes more to crisp.
