- Mix cream cheese, crabmeat, onion and horseradish together in a baking dish.
- Sprinkle with almonds.
- Bake at 350* for 15 minutes.
- Serve on water crackers or toast points.
CRABMEAT CANAPES - APPETIZERS
This is a very simple, very tasty snack or appetizer. They freeze well, so you can take them out and make as many as you want. They are equally fitting for elegant cocktail parties or Super Bowl Sunday! (This recipe stretches well. Add more Cheez Whiz, butter and english muffins for folks who don't want as much of the crab taste.)

Steps:
- Soften butter and cheese at room temperature.
- Blend cheese, butter and salts, add crabmeat.
- Spread mixture on split muffins.
- Cut muffins into 6 pie shaped slices and place on cookie sheet.
- Broil 2 minutes or until bubbly or bake at 400 degrees for 12 minutes.
- If desired, freeze until ready to use. (Note: If you are planning to freeze your canapies immediately, do not cut them until they are frozen. Just lay out the halves on a cookie sheet and freeze. Then, while they are still frozen, take an electric knife and cut the english muffin halves into canapies. Once you have cut them all, place in zip-top bags for long-term storage. By slicing them while frozen, they are easier to cut, and you won't lose any crabmeat spread this way! Place the canapies on a baking sheet in the freezer and then place in Zip-Loc bags when frozen).
- Then, place on a baking sheet and thaw for 10 minutes before baking/broiling.

- In a medium bowl, combine the crabmeat, green onions, cheese, mayonnaise, curry powder, salt and lemon juice. Mix well.
- Separate each refrigerator roll into three layers, making 36 pieces total. Place the pieces on the prepared baking sheet. Spoon a small amount of the crabmeat mixture onto each pieces of dough.

Steps:
- Pick over the crabmeat to remove any shells.
- Cream together cheese and butter; add worcestershire sauce and crabmeat. Blend well.
- Split english muffins in half. Spread some crabmeat to edge of muffin half, then cut into quarters. Repeat.
- Place on cookie sheet and freeze. When frozen firm you can dump into a plastic bag for freezer storage.
- To heat, place on cookie sheet under broiler for about 5 minutes until brown and bubbly. Serve warm. (Note can also be baked at 350 until warm and bubbly).

- In medium bowl, combine ingredients--cheese through garlic salt. Place English muffin halves on baking sheet. Spread about 3 tablespoons cheese crab mixture on each half, dividing evenly as possible. Cut into quarter triangles. At this point you may freeze the canapes. Once they are frozen, you can remove them from the tray and store in a zip top bag or freezer safe container.
- To prepare, heat broiler on LOW. Place frozen canapes on baking sheet. Place under broiler for 5-7 minutes, checking after 5 minutes to make sure they do not burn. Heat until warmed through and cheese mixture is bubbly. If you would like them to be a little golden on top, switch broiler to HIGH and broil an additional 1-2 minutes. Serve immediately.
