Crazy Gingerbread With Lemon Sauce Recipe

Ingredients:

  1. flour
  2. sugar
  3. salt
  4. baking soda
  5. cinnamon
  6. ground cloves
  7. ginger
  8. vinegar
  9. oil
  10. vanilla
  11. molasses
  12. water

Steps:

  1. preheat oven to 375
  2. in an ungreased 8x8 inch pan , stir together all dry ingredients
  3. with a spoon , make three "wells" in the dry ingredients
  4. in one "well" put the vinegar , in another the oil , and in the third the vanilla
  5. mix the water and molasses in a separate bowl
  6. pour over the dry ingredients and mix quickly with a fork
  7. mix until lumps are gone , but do not beat
  8. bake at 375 for about 30 minutes
  9. cut and serve from baking pan , with lemon sauce , applesauce , or whipped cream

  11. the contrasting lemon flavor and moistness added by the sauce is what adds the finishing touch to this cake , making it suitable for a company dessert !
