Cream Of Oatmeal Recipe

  1. old-fashioned oatmeal
  2. water
  3. milk
  4. wheat germ
  5. wheat bran
  6. salt
  7. butter
  8. brown sugar
  9. cinnamon
  10. ground flax seed


  1. place oatmeal in the food processor
  2. process until finely shredded
  3. place in a small saucepan along with the wheat germ , wheat bran , salt , water and milk
  4. bring to a boil , then reduce heat and simmer till liquid is almost all absorbed , about 3-5 minutes', "stir often so it won't stick to the bottom", 'pour into a bowl and place a little pat of butter on top , if desired
  5. pour a little milk on , then brown sugar to taste
  6. sprinkle with cinnamon , stir it all up and serve !
  7. add whatever optional ingredients you like
