Creamy Chicken And Kale Tortellini Soup Recipe

Ingredients:

  1. yellow onion
  2. celery
  3. carrots
  4. olive oil
  5. flour
  6. chicken stock
  7. cooked chicken
  8. frozen cheese tortellini
  9. garlic powder
  10. salt
  11. kale
  12. half-and-half
  13. fresh ground pepper

Steps:

  1. in a stockpot over medium heat , saut onion , celery , and carrot until onion is translucent
  2. add flour and cook 2 minutes , stirring
  3. add chicken stock , reserving 2 cups for later
  4. add cooked chicken , tortellini , garlic powder and salt
  5. bring to a boil , reduce heat and simmer for 10 to 15 mins or until tortellini is cooked and vegetables are tender
  6. add kale
  7. cook until kale has wilted
  8. if needed , add reserved chicken broth to thin to desired consistency of soup
  9. turn heat down and add half n half
  10. do not boil
  11. heat until desired serving temperature
  12. add pepper , to taste
