Creamy Chicken Stew Recipe

Ingredients:

  1. chicken pieces
  2. seasoning salt
  3. pepper
  4. oil
  5. butter
  6. potatoes
  7. onions
  8. fresh garlic
  9. dried thyme
  10. crushed red pepper flakes
  11. flour
  12. chicken broth
  13. water
  14. dry white wine
  15. canned corn niblets
  16. carrots
  17. salt and pepper
  18. whipping cream
  19. parmesan cheese

Steps:

  1. season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper
  2. heat the oil with butter in a large heavy pot over medium heat
  3. brown the chicken on all sides then transfer to a large bowl
  4. to the same pot add in onion , garlic , red pepper flakes and thyme
  5. saute stirring occasionally for about 4-5 minutes
  6. add in flour and cook , stirring 1 minute
  7. whisk in broth , water and wine
  8. bring to a boil , whisking continuously
  9. add in potatoes , carrots and corn
  10. mix to combine , cover with lid and simmer for 10 minutes , stirring occasionally
  11. add in the whipping cream and parmesan cheese
  12. mix to combine , then add in the browned chicken back to the pot along with any juices from the bowl , season with salt and pepper
  13. cover and simmer until the chicken is cooked and the veggies are tender
