2 large eggs
1/2 cup 2% milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup cornflake crumbs
6 slices Texas toast
1/4 cup butter, melted
CINNAMON SYRUP:
2/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup light corn syrup
2 tablespoons water
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/3 cup evaporated milk or 2% milk
1-1/2 teaspoons butter
1/4 teaspoon almond extract

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 450°. In a shallow bowl, whisk eggs, milk, salt and vanilla until blended. Place cornflake crumbs in another shallow bowl. Dip both sides of bread in egg mixture, then in cornflake crumbs, patting to help coating adhere., Place in a greased 15x10x1-in. baking pan. Drizzle with melted butter. Bake 10-12 minutes or until golden brown., For syrup, in a small saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, water and cinnamon; bring to a boil. Cook and stir 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in milk, butter and extract. Serve with French toast.

4 eggs
2/3 cup whole milk
1/3 cup flour
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
canola oil
10 slices Texas toast thick bread
6 tablespoons butter
1 cup powdered sugar
16 ounces maple syrup

Steps:

  • Mix together the flour, sugar, vanilla, salt and cinnamon.
  • Mix in the eggs and milk to the flour, sugar, vanilla, salt and cinnamon mixture.
  • Heat a deep, large skillet, fill up with Canola Oil just enough to cover the Texas toast thick bread.
  • If the oil smokes, your pan is too hot; turn down the heat.
  • With tongs, dip the slice of bread into the batter for 30 to 45 seconds or more, depending on how crispy you want it!
  • Let the oil drip off, as much as possible.
  • To serve, put on plate, dust with powdered sugar. Serve with butter and hot syrup.

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Beat eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon in a bowl; dip toast into egg mixture and press into crushed corn flakes until coated. Arrange coated toast in a single layer in a baking dish.

1 cup half-and-half
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 cups corn flakes cereal, crushed to 1 cup
8 (3/4-inch-thick) diagonally cut slices French bread
Strawberry syrup
Fresh strawberries, raspberries and/or blueberries

Steps:

  • Grease 15x10x1-inch baking pan. In shallow bowl, combine eggs, half-and-half, sugar, vanilla and salt; beat well. Place crushed cereal in another shallow bowl. Dip each bread slice in egg mixture, making sure all egg mixture is absorbed. Coat each slice with crumbs. Place in greased pan; cover. Freeze 1 to 2 hours or until firm.
  • Heat oven to 425°F. Bake bread slices 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown, turning once. Serve with syrup and strawberries. If desired, garnish with whipped topping.

1/2 cup fat-free milk
1/4 cup orange juice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Dash ground nutmeg
12 slices day-old French bread (3/4 inch thick)
1-1/2 cups crushed cornflakes

Steps:

  • In a shallow dish, combine the egg substitute, milk, orange juice, vanilla and nutmeg. Add bread; soak for 5 minutes, turning once. Coat both sides of each slice with cornflake crumbs. , Place in a 15x10x1-in. baking pan coated with cooking spray. Bake at 425° for 10 minutes; turn. Bake 5-8 minutes longer or until golden brown. 2 cups milk
2 eggs
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
8 slices stale bread
maple syrup

Steps:

  • Place corn flake crumbs in a shallow dish and set aside.
  • Combine milk, eggs, sugar and cinnamon in a medium size bowl and dip bread into mixture coating both sides well the dip into corn flake crumbs.
