CROCK POT RECIPE BLACK BEANS AND CORN ETC.
The chicken comes out lovely & tender, the bone in adds flavor. You may substitute Pork Country style ribs for the chicken. If you wish you may brown the thighs before adding to the pot. I say the chili flakes are optional but taste the mixture after 1 hour and then add as much chili flakes to meet the heat that you like. I like close to 2 tsps but it is up to you.

BLACK BEANS, CORN, AND YELLOW RICE
I put this together with what I had in my pantry. It makes a lot and is quite inexpensive. Serve with tortilla chips or as a filling for flour tortillas. It's even better the next day.

SLOW-COOKER CUBAN BLACK BEAN SOUP
This all-day slow-cooker recipe isn't your average bean soup-it's wildly flavorful and extra hearty, and we'd bet it'll become your favorite on the first try. The secret is in cooking the beans with a bone-in ham shank that infuses flavor into every bite. The key to getting the perfect consistency, mashing the beans, is a can't-skip step that's super easy. Finish your bowl with the toppings of your choice, like pico de gallo, sour cream, avocado or a squeeze of lime juice, and prepare to be impressed!
