Dark Beer And Fresh Ginger Cake Recipe

  1. dark beer
  2. molasses
  3. baking soda
  4. eggs
  5. sugar
  6. vegetable oil
  7. all-purpose flour
  8. baking powder
  9. ground cinnamon
  10. ground cloves
  11. ground nutmeg
  12. ground cardamom
  13. black pepper
  14. fresh ginger


  1. preheat oven to 350f
  2. grease a bundt pan or tube pan
  3. dust with flour
  4. in a large saucepan , bring to boil the beer and molasses
  5. remove from the heat and add baking soda
  6. let rest
  7. in a large bowl , beat the eggs with sugar
  8. add oil and beat well
  9. set aside
  10. in another bowl , mix flour , baking powder , cinnamon , cloves , nutmeg , cardamom and pepper
  11. incorporate the mixture of molasses to the egg mixture , stirring well
  12. then add gradually the mixture of flour and the ginger
  13. put the dough in the pan and bake in the oven for 1 hour or until a tooth-pick inserted in the middle comes out clean
  14. let cool 15 minutes , then remove the cake from the pan
  15. you can serve the cake with whipped cream or another frosting you like
