Delicious Ground Beef Enchiladas With Homemade Sauce Recipe

  1. butter
  2. flour
  3. chili powder
  4. cumin powder
  5. garlic powder
  6. chicken stock
  7. salt
  8. cheese
  9. ground beef
  10. onion
  11. pepper
  12. worcestershire sauce
  13. corn tortillas
  14. chopped tomato
  15. sour cream
  16. diced onion
  17. lettuce


  1. enchilada sauce: in a medium saucepan heat butter , add flour , smoothing and stirring with a wooden spoon
  2. cook for 1 minute
  3. add chili powder , cumin and garlic powder and cook for 30 seconds
  4. slowly add chicken broth and stir to combine
  5. bring to a boil , reduce heat to low and cook for 15 minutes
  6. the sauce will thicken and smooth out
  7. add salt and adjust as desired
  8. sprinkle cheese over top of sauce and stir in until melted
  9. enchiladas: while enchilada sauce is simmering , brown ground beef and onion
  10. season with garlic powder , salt , pepper and worchestershire sauce
  11. stir in 1-1 / 2 cups of the cheese
  12. in 10x13 baking pan , pour just enough enchilada sauce in the bottom to coat the bottom of the pan
  13. dip tortillas in enchilada sauce , coating both sides
  14. fill each tortilla with a large spoonful of meat mixture
  15. roll tortilla and place seam side down in pan
  16. continue until meat mixture is gone
  17. pour remaining enchilada sauce over tortillas and top with remaining cheese
  18. bake in 350 degree oven for 20 minutes
  19. allow to sit for 5 minutes before serving
  20. serve with desired garnishes
