DOMINOS STYLE PIZZA

Number Of Ingredients 13

For dough:
2 cups warm water
1 sachet instant yeast
3 tbsp honey
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
5 cups white flour
1/2 cup oil vegetable, olive or sunflower
1/2 cup course semolina
For toppings:
Mozzarella cheese
Tomato sauce
Your favorite pizza toppings

Steps:

  • Mix the water, yeast and honey in a bowl until they begin to foam. The water should be warm to touch.
  • In a stand mixer, add the flour and garlic and onion powder
  • Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients, and pour in the water yeast mixture
  • Mix on high, using the dough hook, for 8 minutes, until the dough has come together to form a springy ball
  • Pour oil into the bowl and toss the dough so it is coated in oil (do not knead further)
  • Cover the bowl of dough and leave to rise in warm place for 30 minutes
  • After 30 minutes, flour a work surface using a mixture of plain white flour and course semolina
  • Turn the dough out onto the floured surface and punch down slightly, then cover with a tea towel for 15 minutes whilst you pre-heat the oven to 190C (preferably with a round, pizza tray or stone in it so that is warmed for the pizza too)
  • Once the oven is pre-heated, remove the pre-heated tray/stone and transfer 1/3 of the pizza dough to it
  • Using your fingers, spread the dough on the base of the tray until you have the desired thickness - remember the pizza will rise slightly so do it thinner than you want the end result, if you want dominos style pizza, make sure your crusts are quite defined for dipping
  • Pop the pizza base (un-topped) into the oven for 5 minutes to pre-bake
  • After 5 minutes, remove base from oven and top with your favorite toppings
  • Once topped, return to the oven for 20 minutes, or until toppings are browned and cooked
  • Remove from the oven and allow to cool before tucking in with some garlic dip
  • This dough recipe makes 3 large pizzas; you can freeze the dough raw, or make a 3 pizzas from it

Domino's pizza was a strangely traditionalist chain for a long time. They sold only one kind of crust, called the regular pizza, and only in two sizes. The pizza dough was shaped by tossing and pulling, and they offered no side orders. The chain has diversified a lot since then, with pan pizzas and other types being added. However, original Domino's pizza crust is still the same. This Domino's pizza dough recipe aims to capture that unique chewiness that we all recognize and love. Use an electric mixer to speed things up, or just combine by hand for a good workout. Like many other pizza doughs, this one can be refrigerated and frozen for later use. 5 cups all-purpose flour or 5 cups bread flour
1 tablespoon sugar
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon instant yeast
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 3/4 cups warm water

Steps:

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients, stirring vigorously. Set aside to rest five minutes, and then stir again for three to five minutes.
  • Add additional water or flour to achieve a smooth, sticky dough.
  • Divide into four pieces and place each one into an oiled freezer bag.
  • At this point, dough can be refrigerated or frozen.
  • Allow to rise at room temperature and then punch down.
  • Stretch each piece onto a ten inch pizza pan and allow to rest a few minutes.
  • Top as usual, and then bake at 450°F until crust is crisp and cheese has melted.
  • (Makes 4 ten inch pizzas.).

Dominos Crust Recipe I love Italian cuisine and the most favourite dish is pizza. Mostly I bake pizza at home as home-made pizza is best to have, if you are consuming it frequently, so that you can have better control over the fatty and saturated ingredients like cheese and oil.

Number Of Ingredients 8

2 ½ Cups / 300 gms All Purpose Flour (Maida)
7 grams/1 packet / 2 ¼ teaspoon Instant Yeast
3 teaspoon brown Sugar or 2 teaspoon honey
1 cup / 170 ml Warm Water
5 tsp / 15 gms Non fat Milk Powder
2 tablespoons / 30 ml extra virgin olive Oil
1 tsp Salt
¼ cup cornmeal or semolina flour for tossing

Steps:

  • In a large mixing bowl take flour, milk powder, brown sugar, olive oil and salt. Mix it thoroughly with a slotted spatula.
  • Warm the water and divide into two equal parts. Add one part of warm water to flour. Mix with spatula and let it rest.
  • Take other half part of warm water add instant yeast and mix. Let it rest for 10 minutes or till the mixture gets froth. (if it does not, then throw and restart.) After 10 minutes add yeast mixture to the flour mixture.
  • Knead the dough. I have tried preparing dough with hands as well as machine. I found that machine makes dough smoother and softer than manual kneading. However, many of us doesn't own a stand mixer so I have chosen not to use my stand mixer in this recipe.
  • Knead the dough for at least 15 minutes to form gluten in dough. In the end when dough is almost done, drizzle some olive oil on palm and give additional 5 minute knead to smooth it out. Smear some oil all over the surface of dough and cover with cling film.
  • Rest dough for 90 minutes or more at warm place. I heated my oven for 30 seconds on highest temperature and turned it off, then I placed dough at top shelf in my oven.
  • After step5 , punch down the dough and knead it again for about 2- 3 minutes. Then divide it into 3 equal parts (or 2 equal parts) depending upon the size of pizza you want to prepare.
  • Cover with cling film and leave it for another 30 minutes for rise. No need to put dough at warm place this time.
  • After 3o minutes you can see that dough has risen as shown in below picture.
  • Take it out and knead again. Use some dry all purpose flour if you need, in case it is too sticky to handle. Spread some cornmeal on worktop and place one piece of dough and shape it for preparing pizza.

¼ cup dry milk powder
1 tbsp white sugar
2¼ tsp active dry yeast
1⅓ cups about 110 degrees F warm water
2 tbsp or canola oil vegetable oil
4 cups all-purpose flour
½ tsp salt
1 cup marinara sauce
30 slices or any preferred pizza toppings like mushroom, sausage or black olives pepperoni
5 oz grated mozzarella cheese

Steps:

  • Put dry milk, sugar, yeast and warm water in a large bowl. Stir. If a stand mixer is available, you may use its bowl.
  • Let sit for about 2 minutes.
  • Add vegetable or canola oil, then stir again.
  • Add flour and salt into the bowl. Stir until it begins forming into a ball.
  • If using a mixer, use the dough hook to knead the dough. Knead on medium speed for about 8 minutes until a smooth dough forms and sides of the bowl are cleaned.
  • If working by hand, use a clean and lightly floured surface. Knead dough by hand for about 10 minutes until a smooth, elastic dough forms.
  • Divide dough into 2 balls.
  • Add 3 ounces of oil in two 12-inch (or 10-inch) nonstick or cast iron skillets. Make sure oil is spread evenly and up the sides of each skillet.
  • Spread dough out to about the same size of the skillets using fingers or (if needed) a rolling pin.
  • If dough snaps back, cover it with plastic wrap and let it rest for about 10 to 15 minutes more. Then, stretch again.
  • Place dough in the pizza pan. This time, it no longer has to go all the way to the sides since it will grow during rise time.
  • Cover pizza pan with a lid or plastic wrap. Let it rise in a warm place for 1 to 1 ½ hours.
  • During the last 20 minutes of rise time, preheat oven to 500 degrees F.
  • Top dough with your preferred tomato sauce and pizza toppings.
  • Place skillets in the oven and bake for about 15 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  • Let it cool, and then serve! Enjoy.
