DUNKIN DONUTS COFFEE
I love Dunkin Donuts coffee but it's kinda of expensive to buy a medium cup of coffee at $1.50 for every cup several times a week. So I purchased a bag of the whole unground Dunkin Donuts coffee beans for $7.99 and grind them and make my coffee at home. The half and half a woman who works at Dunkin Donuts told me that's what they use to whiten the coffee. I like my coffee sweet so this is based on how my coffee taste when purchased at Dunkin Donuts I always ask for extra, extra, cream and sugar so feel free to decrease or increase the sugar amount to your taste. My future hubby and I think this taste great and taste just like I've bought it by the cup at Dunkin Donuts. Hope you enjoy it! Note: This recipe was based on making my coffee in my Black & Decker coffee maker. You may need to play with the amount if using a different coffee maker.

- Brining the Turkey. The first step is to brine the turkey overnight. We used 4 cups kosher salt, 1.75 gallons of water, 3 bay leaves, 3 cinnamon sticks, 1 32-oz Dunkin' Donuts orange coolatta and 1 32-oz Dunkin' Donuts strawberry coolatta.
- A Safety-Related Aside. We noticed that our container (hey, it's not like it had used kitty litter in it, but it does add a certain amount of unwholesomeness, doesn't it?)
- Preparing the Stuffing. To prepare the stuffing, we purchased a 50-piece box of assorted munchkins, which weighed about 1.5 lbs. We cut them in half and toasted them at 450° for 10 minutes.
- Stuffing and Roasting the Turkey. The next step is to stuff the turkey. When we took the turkey out of the brine, we admired its fluorescent pink color.
- Glazing the Turkey. Once the turkey reached 160°F, we made the glaze for it. It was based on a loose interpretation of the recipe for a honey glaze in The Joy of Cooking and the ingredients list for the Dunkin' Donuts glazed donut.
- Coffee Gravy. Apparently coffee gravy is a normal thing that many people make. (Try googling red-eye gravy.) We didn't know this when we made the Turdunkin', and what we ended up with was pretty terrible.
- Mash Browns. What turkey dinner is complete without mashed potatoes? Or, in this case, mashed hash browns! We mashed them with a potato masher, which is a technique that preserves all the hash brown flavor.
