Easy Asian Style Low Fat Microwave Steamed Fish Recipe

Ingredients:

  1. fish fillets
  2. garlic
  3. gingerroot
  4. chili paste
  5. coriander
  6. lime juice
  7. salt
  8. peanut butter

Steps:

  1. mix all marinade ingredients except peanut butter in a small bowl or cup
  2. taste to check for seasoning
  3. if you are adding the peanut butter , add it to the mix and stir to create a thick paste
  4. spread over frozen or fresh fish fillets
  5. put fillets onto a plate with a microwave cover or place them in a shallow covered container
  6. if fish are frozen , cook on high for at least 6-7 minutes
  7. if thawed , about 4-5 minutes should be sufficient
  8. this will change depending on your microwave so do check the fish by checking the colour in the centre of the fillet
  9. serve with rice and a crisp salad

See more I was going to submit an almost identical recipe. I don't have a steamer though so this is how I do it. I put about 1 tbs grated ginger and 2 cloves garlic in pan warm in 1 cup warm chicken broth for about 1-2 min when comes to boil add about 2tbs soy sause add catfish cover with sliced mushrooms and diagonally cut green onions spoon broth over fish cover cook about 5 min. FABULOUS.
