- In a 5-qt. slow cooker, combine the first 5 ingredients. Add beef; stir to coat. Cover and cook on low until tender, about 6 hours. , In a small bowl, whisk cornstarch and cold water until smooth; stir into slow cooker. Cover and cook on high until thickened, about 30 minutes. Meanwhile, in a large saucepan, place a steamer basket over 1 in. of water. Place broccoli in basket. Bring water to a boil. Reduce heat to maintain a simmer; steam, covered, until crisp-tender, 3-4 minutes. Stir broccoli into slow cooker. Serve over rice. If desired, garnish with optional ingredients.

- Place the steak in a slow cooker. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the beef broth, soy sauce, minced garlic, brown sugar and sesame oil. Pour this mixture on top of the steak in the crock pot.
- Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours or on high for 3 hours until the beef is tender.
- Whisk together the cornstarch and cold water in a small mixing bowl. Stir this mixture into the slow cooker.
- Then stir in the broccoli and cook on low for about 30 minutes or until sauce is thickened and broccoli is cooked through.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve immediately over rice.

- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the beef stock, sesame oil, soy sauce, brown sugar and minced garlic.
- Add the beef to the slow cooker and pour the liquid over the top, tossing the beef to coat.
- Set the slow cooker to cook for 4 hours on LOW heat.
- When the meat is tender, remove a 1/4 cup of the sauce and put in into a small bowl. Add the cornstarch to the sauce and whisk with a fork to combine.
