Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and line a sheet pan with aluminum foil.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir sausage in the hot skillet until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes. Transfer sausage to a plate and set aside, reserving drippings in the skillet.
- Melt sausage drippings and 3 tablespoons butter together in the skillet over medium heat. Add onion and mushrooms; cook until soft, stirring occasionally, 4 to 5 minutes. Stir in 1/4 cup flour and cook for 2 minutes; mixture will thicken as flour cooks. Stir in chicken broth and continue to cook and stir until flour lumps dissolve and mixture begins to bubble, about 1 minute. Remove from heat and add sage. Season with salt and pepper.
- Stir heavy cream into the mixture and add reserved sausage, turkey, and mixed vegetables. Adjust seasoning if necessary and pour into the prepared baking dish.
- Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl for topping. Stir in 1 cup heavy cream at first; gradually add remaining cream to form a wet, sticky dough.
- Drop large tablespoon-sized dough balls on top of the meat and vegetable mixture, evenly spacing 15 to 16 balls in total.
- Combine melted butter, parsley, chives, and garlic powder in a small bowl. Brush mixture lightly over each dough ball. Place the baking dish onto the prepared sheet pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven until bubbly and topping is browned, about 45 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and let cool on a wire rack for about 30 minutes before serving.

- Blueberry Cobbler with Cookie Dough Crust. Cookie dough in a cobbler? I'm a sucker for anything cookie dough, so I was eager to try this recipe. The cookie dough is a buttery, gooey topping that complements the tart blueberries.
- Pumpkin Cobbler. Pumpkin pies are filled with cinnamon, provide a pleasant aroma, and have a smooth filling. Upon seeing this recipe from Delish, I was ecstatic to try it.
- Cake Mix Peach Cobbler. This peach cobbler combines fresh peaches, yellow cake mix, butter, and pecans to make an easy summer dessert. The peaches are soft and the pecans add a crunch to every bite.
- Skillet Cherry Cobbler. This recipe only requires four ingredients and takes less than 10 minutes to assemble. Like the cake mix peach cobbler, this recipe also calls for yellow cake mix.
- Strawberry Pop-Tart Cobbler. This cobbler mimics the strawberry flavor of a Pop-Tart, minus all the sugar, fat, preservatives, and artificial flavors.
- Cinnamon Roll Apple Cobbler. Warm and comforting in flavor, this recipe uses less than five ingredients, one of which is canned cinnamon rolls. Many cobbler recipes require more than 10 ingredients, oftentimes ingredients that are not pantry staples, making this recipe stand out.
- Blackberry Cobbler with Lemon Biscuit Topping. This blackberry cobbler is absolutely divine. Lemon zest enhances the flavor of the berries and brings out their natural sweetness.
- Sugar Cookie Cherry Cobbler. This cherry cobbler uses cookies instead of a crumble as the topping. Unlike other cobbler recipes that require fresh fruit, this one calls for frozen fruit.
- Cheddar Biscuit Cobbler. Who said cobbler has to be sweet? This recipe is perfect for all the cheese lovers out there. This cobbler is made with cheesy cheddar biscuits, soft roasted tomatoes, garlic, and thyme.

- Place stick of butter in baking dish. My Grandma’s recipe said an 8×8 pan. I’ve made this is a 9 inch round and an 11×8 as well. They all worked. Place in oven until melted.
- Mix flour, sugar, milk and baking powder together in medium bowl. I like to use a whisk to make sure flour doesn’t clump. When smooth, add vanilla and cinnamon. Mix.
