2 cups unsalted butter, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup cornstarch
3 cups flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
semisweet chocolate chunks (or drops) or milk chocolate pieces (or drops)
1/2 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F Line 2-3 cookie sheets with parchment.
  • Cream butter and vanilla with mixer. In a separate bowl, sift together powdered sugar, cornstarch, flour and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to butter, beating constantly on high until the batter is the consistency of whipped butter (about 5 minutes).
  • Drop dough by heaping teaspoons onto prepared cookie sheets. Bake for about 15 minutes, or until cookies begin to turn golden on edges.
  • Immediately after removing cookies from oven, press one chocolate piece into the center of each cookie. Cool completely.
  • Enjoy with milk!

Ghirardelli is not my favorite but these cookies are quite delicious and easy to make. Found the recipe on another site and when I bought the chocolate chips it was on the bag ha ha. Very easy recipe but I am still on the look out for the ultimate chocolate chip cookie. Enjoy!

1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 cups ghirardelli milk chocolate chips
1 cup chopped walnuts (optional) or 1 cup pecans (optional)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven 375 degrees F.
  • Stir Flour with baking soda and salt, set aside.
  • Beat butter with sugar and brown sugar at medium speed until creamy and lightened in color (about 4 minutes).
  • Add Vanilla and eggs, one at a time, mixing on low speed until incorporated.
  • Gradually blend dry mixture into creamed mixture.
  • Stir in Chocolate chips and nuts (if desired).
  • Drop by tablespoon onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Bake for 9 - 11 minutes or until golden brown.

¼ cup unsweetened cocoa
4 cups whole milk
4 large eggs large eggs
¼ cup unsalted butter, melted

1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 French baguette, cut into cubes*
1 cup raisins

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, butter, and vanilla.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cocoa. Add to the milk mixture and whisk. Add the bread, raisins, and chocolate chips. Mix well.
  • Refrigerate for 30 to 60 minutes, until the bread has absorbed most of the liquid. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a 9 by 13-inch glass baking dish. Mix the bread pudding once more to evenly distribute the chips and raisins. Pour into the prepared baking dish. Bake for 1 hour, or until set. Serve the pudding warm, or refrigerate and serve chilled.

1 cup cold salted butter, cubed
1 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 cups Ghirardelli semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 (12 ounce) bag Ghirardelli semi-sweet chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Beat butter, sugar, and vanilla in bowl of a heavy-duty stand mixer* fitted with a paddle attachment on low speed just until blended and creamy, 3 to 5 minutes. With mixer running on low speed, gradually add flour and cocoa and beat until dough comes together, about 1 minute, stopping to scrape down sides of bowl as needed. Beat in 2 cups chocolate chips on low speed until just combined.
  • Divide dough in half and roll each half into a compact 2-inch-thick log (about 8 inches long). Wrap each log in parchment paper or plastic wrap, and freeze just until firm (but not frozen solid), about 25 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line 2 large rimmed baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Remove cookie dough logs from freezer and unwrap. Using a sharp serrated knife and a sawing motion, cut cookie dough into 1/2-inch-thick rounds. If rounds crumble slightly, press dough back together. Place rounds on prepared baking sheets, spacing cookies about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake, 1 sheet at a time, in preheated oven until firm, 15 to 18 minutes. Let cool completely on baking sheets, about 20 minutes.
  • To decorate, place one 12-ounce package Ghirardelli semi-sweet chocolate chips in a medium microwaveable bowl. ¾ cup firmly packed light or dark brown sugar
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

2 cups Ghirardelli Milk Chocolate Chips
1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Stir together the flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
  • In a large bowl, beat the butter with the white and brown sugars using an electric mixer at medium speed until the mixture is creamy and lightened in color, about 4 minutes. Add the vanilla and eggs, one at a time, mixing on low speed until incorporated.

1 teaspoon salt, divided
1 ½ cups unsalted butter, divided, at room temperature

4 large eggs
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
1 ½ cups buttermilk
8 cups powdered sugar, divided
⅓ cup milk
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
¾ cup Ghirardelli® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Mini Baking Chips

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 15x10x1-inch baking pan. Line with parchment paper. Grease and flour the paper; set pan aside.
  • In a small saucepan, place 3/4 cup of the dark chocolate baking chips with the shortening. Heat over low heat until melted and smooth; set aside to cool.
  • In a medium bowl, stir together the flour, cocoa, baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon salt; set aside.
  • In a large bowl, beat 3/4 cup butter with an electric mixer on medium speed for 30 seconds. Add granulated sugar and beat 2 minutes more or until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating on low after each. Beat in chocolate mixture and vanilla. Alternately add flour mixture and buttermilk into butter mixture, beating on low after each addition. Spread batter into the prepared pan.
  • Bake about 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool in the pan on a wire rack.
  • Meanwhile for the frosting: Melt the remaining 1 cup dark chocolate baking chips and cool. In a very large mixing bowl, beat 3/4 cup butter with an electric mixer on medium speed for 30 seconds. Beat in melted chocolate, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1 cup of the powdered sugar until combined. Beat in milk and vanilla. Gradually beat in the remaining powdered sugar. If necessary, beat in enough additional milk until smooth and spreadable.
  • Cut rounds of the cake using a 3-inch round cutter or heart cutter.* Halve the cakes crosswise to form 2 thin layers. Spread frosting over each round (both layers). Stack one frosted round over the other. Sprinkle with mini baking chips.
