TURMERIC GOLDEN MILK WITH TURMERIC PASTE
Soothes a cold or sore throat, helps you to sleep better, etc.... Warm and delicious, great just before bed every evening. The recipe for turmeric paste yields enough for a few weeks. Store in the refrigerator; reheat it in small amounts as needed.

Steps:
- Combine 1/2 cup water, turmeric, and pepper in a small saucepan over low heat. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened, 7 to 9 minutes. Stir in 1 teaspoon water. Continue cooking until thickened into a paste, 7 to 9 minutes. Cool completely, 15 to 20 minutes. Pour into an airtight glass jar.
- Whisk 1 teaspoon turmeric paste, almond milk, coconut oil, ginger, and cinnamon together in a saucepan. Heat over low heat until hot, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in honey.
- Strain milk mixture into 2 mugs.

- Measure water and turmeric into saucepan.
- Stir using whisk to combine.
- Heat over low heat, stirring constantly.
- When turmeric and water reaches the consistency of peanut butter, add black pepper and coconut oil.
- Stir to combine.
- Pour into storage jar, using spatula to scrape all paste from saucepan.
- Allow to cool.

- Combine pepper, ginger, cardamom, in a small bowl. Set aside.
- Combine turmeric and 1 and 1/2 cups of water in a small pot, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon. Bring mixture to a very gentle simmer and add another 1/2 cup of water. Continue to stir with wooden spoon.
- Add mixed spices and continue to cook and stir on low for about 3 minutes, until you have a thick and smooth paste.
- Turn off heat and add coconut oil or fat of choice.
- Continue to stir until completely smooth.
- Let mixture cool off.
- Transfer to clean glass jar with a lid. Mixture will thicken as it cools. Place lid on jar after mixture has completely cooled.
- Give a little shake to prevent separation and store in fridge.
- Before enjoying mix well as separation may occur.
- Golden paste will last for about 2-3 weeks (Although it doesn't last me that long ????
