Steps:

• Prepare cake batter and bake as directed on package for 24 cupcakes. Cool in pan 10 min. Remove from pan to wire racks; cool completely.
• Meanwhile, beat cream cheese, butter and vanilla in large bowl with mixer until blended. Add sugar gradually, mixing well after each addition. Add food colorings as necessary to tint frosting to desired shade; mix well. Spoon into pastry bag fitted with large star tip. Refrigerate 45 min.
• Reserve 1/2 cup of the cream cheese frosting for later use. Decorate tops of cupcakes with remaining frosting.
• Insert 1 oblong cookie, at an angle, into frosting on each cupcake. Place 1 pirouette cookie piece under each oblong cookie to resemble a high heel shoe as shown in photo, using small dab of the reserved frosting to secure cookie pieces to each other. Decorate with sprinkles as desired. Refrigerate 1 hour or until frosting is firm.

DECORATE your cupcakes You can use frosting, icing, sprinkles, candy, etc. Don't be shy with food coloring! PREPARE the shoe arches For the shoe arches, you can use a number of different types of cookies/crackers. Some favorite options are: graham crackers, Milaon cookies, wafers, and nutter butters. Basically, you can use anything that can give you the desired oblong-like shape. DECORATE your arches Cover one side of your arch with melted chocolate, candy melts, or something similar and set aside to dry (or place in the fridge to dry faster). Next, dip the angled portion of your heel into left over melted chocolate or candy melts (re-heat if not still hot). Then gently stabilize the heel under the arch. • Cut the graham cracker to the size and shape you want. Use a serrated knife or it might crack. Coat in white chocolate.
• Next cut a sliver off the top of the cupcake where the graham cracker will sit.
• Cover the cupcake in buttercream and dip in sugar or sprinkles.
• Dip the sides of the graham crackers in melted chocolate and then dip them in sugar.
• Cut the pirouette cookies at a slight angle to the size you want. Dip end in chocolate and attach to graham cracker.
• Place heel on to the ledge of cupcake that was cut out earlier in step 2.
