2 tbs lemon syrup
2 cups iced tea
Juice of 1 lime
1 shot of whiskey
Lemon for garnish

Steps:

1. Using a carafe, prepare cold brew tea. 2. Add the lemon syrup into a glass, and fill with 2 cups of tea. 3. Squeeze the juice of 1 lime into the glass, then stir. 4. Add a shot of your favorite whiskey of choice if you're making a cocktail! 5. Top and garnish with fresh lemon and lime wedges.

What's more Southern than sweet iced tea? I've lived in Florida all my life, yet I'm not a huge fan of the overly sweet iced tea that is popular here in the South. My grandma has made this version for as long as I can remember and it is the BEST!! Not too sweet, and not too bitter...and the fresh lime juice --- amazing!!!

1 gallon boiling water
6 black tea bags
1 ½ cups white sugar
4 limes, juiced

Steps:

Pour the water into a gallon sized jar over the tea bags. Allow to steep for 45 minutes. Remove and discard the tea bags. Stir in the sugar and lime juice until the sugar has dissolved. Cool to room temperature; refrigerate until cold before serving.

Ingredients

3 green tea bags
8 cups boiling water
355 ml frozen concentrated lemonade or 355 ml limeade
1/2-1 cup white rum (optional)
ice cube
1 lemon
1 lime

Steps:

Add tea bags to boiling water. Steep for 3 minute Remove bags, then immediately add frozen lemonade and stir until completely dissolved. Sweeten with sugar or honey, if needed.
Refrigerate at least until cold. Then stir in rum to taste.
To serve, place a few ice cubes in a large pitcher. Thinly slice lemon and lime and add. Pour tea mixture overtop.

In a medium pot, bring water to a boil. Turn off heat, add tea, stir and let steep while cooling down completely or until lukewarm (I place mine in a shady spot on a stone patio outside on hot summer days).
Transfer tea to a large pitcher by laddling it through a mesh strainer; discard the tea leaves. Add maple syrup, squeeze lemon and lime juice, add the peels (skins) to the pitcher, stir with a long wooden spoon and let tea sit for 10 minutes. Discard the citrus skins otherwise iced tea will be bitter tasting.
Now you can store your iced tea covered with plastic wrap or lid in a fridge for quite a few days. Right before serving add ice and a can of club soda to a pitcher, stir and enjoy the best sparkling healthy iced tea (garnish with thin lime slices if desired). Tea tastes amazing without club soda too, adjust sweetness to taste. Kids LOVE this lime iced tea with a bit of extra maple syrup in their glasses.
