This low carb simple syrup is the perfect sugar free sweetener! It's ideal for adding to cocktails, sauces, and more - and it's zero carb and keto friendly!

1 cup water
½ cup classic Lakanto sweetener
pinch xanthan gum

Steps:

  • Add the water and sweetener to a small saucepan and bring to the boil. Reduce to a simmer and make sure that all the sweetener is fully dissolved.
  • Sprinkle a pinch (no more than eighth of a teaspoon) of xanthan gum over the mixture, and quickly whisk until it too has dissolved.
  • Let the syrup cool and then transfer it to a flip top glass bottle or similar.
  • Store at room temperature.

1 cup Besti Powdered Monk Fruit Allulose Blend
1 1/2 tbsp Maple extract
1/2 tsp Xanthan gum

Steps:

  • Whisk together the water, Besti, and maple extract in a small saucepan.
  • Bring the mixture to a gentle boil. Simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sweetener dissolves.
  • Pour the liquid into a medium bowl. Sprinkle half of the xanthan gum on top (don't dump, just sprinkle lightly and evenly). Whisk immediately, until no lumps remain. Repeat with the remaining xantham gum.
  • Wait a few minutes to allow the syrup to thicken further. If it's still thinner than you'd like, add a little more xanthan gum, just a tiny bit (1/16 teaspoon) at a time and immediately whisk again.

1 1/2 cups Splenda granular (not packets)
1 1/2 cups water
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 -1 1/4 teaspoon maple extract
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • In small bowl, mix cornstarch and 1/4 cup of water.
  • Stir to dissolve cornstarch and make a slurry.
  • In saucepan over medium-high heat, add all remaining ingredients.
  • Bring to boil.
  • Stirring constantly with a whisk, add the cornstarch slurry and bring to a boil.
  • Boil 30 seconds.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Cool.
  • Bottle and refrigerate.
  • NOTE: If you like your syrup thicker, increase cornstarch to 5-6 teaspoons.
  • Remember that it thickens more as it cools, so don't over-thicken.

3/4 cup water
1/4 cup now foods erythritol (Powdered)
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
2 1/4 teaspoons coconut oil
2 teaspoons maple extract
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon xanthan gum
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

Steps:

  • In a microwave safe container, mix your butter, coconut oil, and xanthan gum together. Microwave this for 40-50 seconds.
  • Grind erythritol in spice grinder until fine.
  • Mix together microwaved oils, water, and powdered erythritol.
  • Add vanilla extract, maple extract, and stevia until taste is achieved. Add more water if you need to thin it any more.
  • Microwave for 40-60 seconds, stir, and let cool.
