My recipes would not be complete, according to my grandkids, without posting the famous Marshmallow Treats. So to stay in good standing with them, here it is. I do love them, too.

Ingredients

1/4 cup butter
4 cups miniature marshmallows
1 tablespoon marshmallow cream
5 -6 cups Rice Krispies

Steps:

In a saucepan melt the butter.
Add the marshmallows and fluff till all is melted well.
Remove from heat and add the cereal.
Stir until well-coated.
Press warm mixture into a buttered 9x13 pan.
Cool and cut into squares.

Easy, easy, easy. As a variation, you can add candy coated chocolates, chocolate chips, or nuts.

Ingredients

3 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 cups miniature marshmallows
4 cups crisp rice cereal

Steps:

Coat a 9 x 13 inch pan with spray oil or margarine.
In a large saucepan, melt the butter or margarine over low heat. Add the vanilla. Melt the marshmallows into the margarine, stirring. Add the cereal when the marshmallows have melted; stir until cereal is coated. Quickly pour into the prepared pan. Use a sheet of waxed paper to press the mixture down flat and evenly into the pan.
Let set for 2 to 3 hours. Cut into squares.

3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1 pkg. (10 oz.) JET-PUFFED Miniature Marshmallows
6 cups KELLOGG'S® RICE KRISPIES® cereal

Steps:

Melt butter in large saucepan on low heat. Add marshmallows; cook until marshmallows are completely melted and mixture is well blended, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
Add cereal; mix well.
Press onto bottom of 13x9-inch pan sprayed with cooking spray. Cool completely.

When making these it takes me back to be a child watching my mother make these! I couldn't wait till they were done! I think this is one treat childern (or grown-ups) can not pass up! Also you can use Crushed Kellogg corn flakes istead of Rice Krispies

1/4 c regular margarine or butter
1/2 tsp vanilla flavoring, if desired
1 (6 oz-10oz) pakage marshmallows
5 c kelloggs rice krispie cereal

Steps:

1. Melt margarine in 3 quart saucepan. Add marshmallows and cook over low heat, stirring constantly until marshmallows are melted and mixture is very syrupy.
2. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla
3. Add Rice Krispies and stir until well coated.
4. Press warm mixture into 13x9x2 pan. Cut into squares when cool.
