Steps:

  • Wash the produce thoroughly.
  • Remove the watermelon rind and cut into cubes; weigh the produce. Cut the lime into fifths (leaving the skin on).
  • If you have a juice press, place both the watermelon and the lime directly into the press. If you don't have a juice press, peel the lime and juice both the watermelon and the lime with the rest of the ingredients.
  • Grind remaining ingredients together and press.

  • Add lime juice and a pinch of black salt. Blend just once more.

  • Instructions Wash all the fruit. Cut the watermelon straight through the middle to use one half, save the other half for another time. Remove the skin and cut the watermelon into chunky cubes. 1 (4-pound) piece watermelon, preferably seedless, cut into 24 thin wedges

Steps:

  • In small bowl, whisk together sugar and 1/4 cup hot water until sugar is dissolved. Stir in lime juice and zest. Cover and refrigerate until cool, about 1 1/2 hours. (Syrup can be made ahead and chilled, covered, up to 3 days.)
