Steps:

  • Blend all ingredients in a blender for a few seconds, until well mixed.
  • Pour mixture into a 10" greased pie plate.
  • Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 1 hour or until centre tests firm.
  • Then flour will settle to form crust, the coconut forms the topping, the centre is an egg custard filling.

This is an old recipe that came from the Amish. This is a pie you'll make over and over again.

4 eggs
3/4 cup white granulated sugar
1/2 stick butter or 4 tablespoons (softened)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 cups milk
1 cup shredded coconut

Steps:

  • Cream eggs, sugar, butter and vanilla with mixer.
  • Add nutmeg, flour and milk and continue mixing until all ingredients are wet. Stir in coconut with a spoon.
  • Spray a 10 inch deep dish pie plate with cooking spray and pour in pie ingredients. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven 55 to 60 minutes until brown on top.

¼ cup butter, melted
1 cup sugar
½ cup flour
¼ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon baking powder
2 cups milk
1 cup flaked coconut (more if desired)
1 teaspoon vanilla

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350F.
  • Place all ingredients to a large bowl and beat together until combined, or place in blender at one time and blend until mixed together. Pour into a greased 9 -10 inch pie dish.
  • Bake for 1 hour or until center is firm and pie is golden.
  • The pie will have a slight wobble to the surface. That will set as it is cooling.
  • When done, crust will be on bottom, custard in the middle, and coconut on top - right where they belong!
  • Allow to cool and refrigerate until completely chilled or overnight.
  • Serve with your favorite ice cream, and sprinkle with toasted coconut.

1 (12 ounce) package Impossible Burger
2 medium shallots, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 cup frozen peas and carrots, thawed
8 ounces brown gravy
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
salt and ground black pepper to taste
2 cups mashed potatoes
1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Heat 1 tablespoon butter in a 10-inch skillet over medium to medium-high heat. Cook and stir the meatless ground beef with shallots and garlic until browned and crumbly and shallots are soft, about 10 minutes. Add peas and carrots, gravy, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Saute for 5 minutes.
  • Spread the mixture onto the bottom of a 10-inch round baking dish. Spread mashed potatoes evenly over the top. Sprinkle with Cheddar cheese and dot with remaining butter.
  • Bake in the center of the preheated oven until the cheese and butter have fully melted, about 20 minutes. Top with parsley and serve.

Received this recently from a friend and this will be my new recipe for this type dish.I made it for breakfast this morning and it is a keeper. While I have always put a variety of meats and/or vegetables in my impossible pies, this has a lot of vatiations I would not have thought of.

1 1/2 cups milk
3/4 cup Bisquick
3 eggs
1/2 teaspoon salt
pepper
2 cups milk
1 cup Bisquick
4 eggs
1/2 teaspoon salt
pepper
1/2-1 cup chopped cooked meat, approximately
3/4-1 cup cheese, shredded
3/4-1 cup vegetables, cooked and chopped or 3/4-1 cup vegetables, raw, chopped

Steps:

  • Choose the base ingredients based on the size of the pie pan you are using.
  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Grease desired size pie pan.
  • Sprinkle meat, cheese and vegetables, if using, into pan.
  • Beat base ingredients until smooth, 14 to 30 seconds in a blender; or 1 minute on high with a hand beater; or 2 minutes by hand.
  • Pour batter into pan, covering filling ingredients.
  • Bake 30 to 35 minutes, or until a knife inserted in center comes out clean, and top is golden brown.
  • Cool 5 minutes before serving.

  • Thawed frozen spinach (squeezed dry) and frozen broccoli work well.
  • Add herbs/spices as desired.
  • Try all veggie or all cheese pies.
  • Add mustard, horseradish, hot sauce, BBQ sauce, etc. to base in small amounts (about 1 tablespoon) if it seems appropriate.
