These are the jello shots I made for a party and I am posting simply because I couldn't find a recipe here in metric measurements and without fancy liqueurs. So here is a very simple one which was popular with my guests.

Ingredients

100 g pineapple Jell-O
1 cup boiling water
1/2 cup cold water
1/2 cup rum

Steps:

Add boiling water to jug or bowl with pouring lip. I would recommend pouring some extra boiling water in first to warm up the jug.
Add jello and stir well for at least 2 minutes.
Add cold water and then rum.
Pour into shot glasses but be careful not to overfill as it is hard to eat them if they are much more than a mouthful.
Refrigerate for at least two hours.
If you use small glasses rather than plastic or paper cups, serve with toothpicks so that it is easier to pull out the jello.
Feel free to use any rum you like, even cheaper brands. Good luck.

sour gummy worms, one package
1 (3 ounce) package strawberry Jell-O gelatin dessert
1 cup water
1 cup Malibu rum
1 (3 ounce) package pineapple Jell-O
1 cup water
1 cup Malibu rum
1 (3 ounce) package berry blue Jello gelatin, any blue jello will work
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup Sprite
1 cup raspberry vodka
1 (3 ounce) package raspberry Jell-O gelatin
1 cup water
1 cup raspberry vodka

Steps:

Strawberry: Boil water, add jello and stir until completely dissolved.
Add malibu rum and pour into 2 oz shot glasses (I use plastic) leave some space for gummy worm on top
Chill until jello is 1/2 way set up and add gummy worm. If you add to early it will fall to bottom, make sure it can support the worm.
Chill until firm and serve!
Pineapple: Boil water, add jello and stir until completely dissolved.
Add malibu rum and stir.
Follow previous directions to pour and set with gummy worm.
Blue Lagoon: Boil water, add jello and stir until completely dissolved.
Add sprite and vokda, stir.
Follow previous directions to pour and set with gummy worm.
Raspberry: Boil water, add jello and stir until completely dissolved.
Add raspberry vodka and stir.
Follow previous directions to pour and set with gummy worm.
Time does not include chill time.

INFAMOUS JELLO SHOTS (BASIC RECIPE)

I've hosted lots of big parties over the years with this recipe. It's a basic recipe with a great alcohol ratio. Keeps everybody going without falling out too early. Makes 10 servings... because with Jello Shots it's always a 2 shot minimum!

2 (3 ounce) packages cherry Jell-O
1 (1/4 ounce) envelope unflavored gelatin
2 cups water (boiling)
1 cup ice water
1 cup Everclear alcohol (ice-cold)

Steps:

In a blender add Jell-O, Gelatin, and then Water (boiling). Cover and blend on low speed until dissolved (about 30 seconds).
Pour in Ice Water and Alcohol (ice-cold), re-cover, and blend on high speed for 1 minute.
Uncover and equally pour into 20 (2 oz.) Plastic Portion Cups 3/4 full, carefully seal with Lids, and place level in refrigerator.
Allow to chill overnight. The Shots will stay good all weekend!
TIP: A good rule of thumb for choosing basic Jello Shots flavors is to pick only Blue, Purple, or Red colors. They just taste better.
TIP: 1/2 tablespoon Powdered or Granulated Gelatin equals 1 (0.25 oz) envelope Unflavored Gelatin.
TIP: Measure Water (boiling) only after it has finished heating.
TIP: Add small ice pieces with cold water to make 1 equal cup Ice Water. It melts and blends better.
TIP: Make sure Alcohol is (ice-cold) by "freezing" bottle for at least 3 hours.
TIP: Plastic Portion Cups can be obtained at most restaurant supply stores -- don't forget the lids!
TIP: Put a drop of Yellow Food Coloring in the Blue Jell-O for St. Patrick's Day.
